  • Looks great and Heavy Duty
Size: Standard Version Color: Blue
I purchased this as a replacement for another music stand I had and this one is so much better. It holds a 350 page music book easily without a problem. The lip for the book is large enough to hold a large music book or notebook. When It's standing, it's very sturdy, and I don't have to worry about it falling down. It's easy to put together and take apart, and I like that it has it's own carrying case. Although as sturdy as the music stand is, the carrying case doesn't feel that sturdy, and I'm not sure how long the case will last. I use this stand to bring to band with me, so I fold it up weekly pack it and unpack it and it's very easy to do. I also like that it comes with a table top option which I use. I actually use that for cookbooks while I'm cooking. I didn't think I was going to do that till I actually received it and started using it. This is a very nice music stand that works well and looks great. I am very happy with it. ... show more

  • Perfect for travel! Mark scores with ease and bag has extra room for music & accessories
Size: Standard Version Color: Black
I practice weekly in a string orchestra at rented locations (which usually don't have stands, so everyone needs to bring their own). In the past I had one of those portable folding stands with an open back - while they are a tad and lighter to travel with, they are so flimsy and make it impossible to mark up your music – something we always need to do. I knew I wanted the best of both worlds, something like a normal music stand with a hard back to make it easy for writing, but also sufficiently lightweight and portable for travel. I love the carrying case because there's actually a bit of room in there to add my music, a book, a tuner, and a few other accessories, so it kinda doubles as an extra bag – plus the stand while strong once set up doesn't feel all that heavy to carry around. It's actually pretty light, and the straps for the bag are large enough that I can sling it over my shoulder too. For any string players, it's nice having a stand where you can place your bow or instrument accessories, something those smaller flimsy stands make difficult. The stand itself has been holding up well in the past year - it feels nice and strong and all the parts are good quality. I also ordered a portable usb-chargeable LED light which clips easily at the top of the stand. Everyone in my orchestra group always asks about my stand because they're all struggling with those flimsy open ones and constantly having to adjust them or fight them from falling over. I'd never go back to one of those! ... show more

  • Excellent stand with helpful additions!
Size: Standard Version Color: Black
Excellent product! Easy to assemble and well built. I love that the stand has clasps to hold your music both open and keeps it from blowing away. This could hold multiple books. The height is adjustable, so all 3 of the musicians in my family can use it - me (drum kit and keyboard), my son (saxophone) and my wife (guitar and ukelele). Very versatile. Carrying case is sturdy and lightweight. Should be helpful if I need to travel with this. Also comes with a sheet music folder with sheet protectors - A very nice addition. Highly recomend! ... show more

  • A Little Flimsy
Size: Standard Version Color: Black
Not bad but a little flimsy. The Cahaya at the same price is sturdier.

  • Great price on a good product
Size: Standard Version Color: Black
This a great price on a very sturdy stand. Made of quality metal and they thought to include a nice folder for sheet music and also a clip. Purchased a guitar bag from Cahaya also and it was also a real vlaue.

  • Decent quality at great price
Size: Standard Version Color: Black
This review covers two CAHAYA products: - 5 in 1 Dual Use Sheet Music Stand - Guitar Stand Floor Universal I bought them together, use them together, and have similar feedback on them, so am cross-posting this review for both products. I am an amateur, non-gigging player and have no need of (and cannot afford!) professional quality stands. However, I am tired of purchasing lower-end products that are poorly-designed and poorly manufactured using inferior materials. CAHAYA has hit the sweet spot offering decent quality stands at affordable prices. This music stand came as part of a kit including a desktop adaptor, travel bag, music clip, and sheet music folder. Personally I have little use for the folder, but it's a nice touch to include it. The desktop adaptor and clip work well when you need them. The bag is great and I use it whenever I need to quickly vacate the family room for visitors. It even accommodates my CAHAYA guitar stand. Everything (except the sheet music folder) breaks down quickly and goes into the bag in about a minute. The most important piece--the music stand itself--is well-designed and well-manufactured. Most important for me is that it easily accommodates thick three-ring binders full of music. It adjusts to any height I need, whether sitting or standing. For daily, same-location amateur use, this music stand kit is a bargain. If you expect to break it down, pack it up, throw it in a vehicle and reassemble it several times a week, you should probably go more high-end. (But if you just don't have the budget to do so, this kit can probably survive some length of pro service as long as you don't abuse it ) The CAHAYA Universal Floor Guitar Stand is similar to the music stand in terms of materials, reliability, and value: an absolute bargain for a single-location amateur. If you expect to set it up in different venues every week where it might get knocked over by a drummer stumbling toward his or her kit or by a drunk audience member, you should probably go more high-end. But this stand is light years better than some of the products that are just $10 cheaper. Some people complain that it holds the guitar too high, making it too unsteady. I was a little concerned about this at first, but I use it for a relatively heavy bass, and have never had a problem. In fact, the cradle appears to be high to accommodate the adjustable tripod legs, so it was designed this way for a reason. My only minor complaint is that you need to completely remove bolts, knobs, nuts, and washers when fully collapsing the stand. If you expect to be doing this a lot, there's a good chance you're going to drop and lose a piece at some point. Otherwise, this stand is a great solution for anybody on a budget that won't be abusing their equipment. ... show more
