There are plenty options when shopping for a "power strip", but not all manufacturers seem to apply logic in designing their products. This TROND strip essentially checks all the boxes for me. The top most important factors for me are sturdy, safe construction and practical lay-out. Secondary, but still important, aspects are low profile plug and neutral color. The TROND replaced my 10 year-old "PowerMaster II Surge Protector" that I purchased from Walmart. It had served its purpose, but it was a bit bulky, and the surge suppression was probably non-existent at this point. The TROND is quite simply just a nicer unit. I have this under my couch and it plugs directly into a floor outlet. The couch is in the middle of the room, so I like for the cords from the lamps on the two end tables to slip right under the couch unnoticed. This is also powering two laptop transformers, a cordless telephone base, and a USB fast mobile device charger. Additionally, I have a couple 3 ft heavy-duty extension cords plugged in to provide quick access for intermittently used items like a heating pad. This way, you can just reach under the couch blindly and plug something in quickly. The addition of the USB ports is in keeping with its modern design, but ultimately unimportant to me. I would have used the USB-C outlet to power my rapid charger, but apparently the 18W from the TROND is not what my charger wanted. That's not an issue for me because given the 13 logically and practically spaced outlets on the TROND, I have sufficient surplus to use the charger's native USB dongle. The bottom line is that the TROND is thoughtfully designed with a low-profile, yet sturdy construction and practical lay-out. I will not hesitate to purchase more of these. ... show more

For years, I've done battle with power strips that have those stupid plastic indentations on the back for mounting. It is almost impossible to put the screws into the wall at exactly the correct distance apart. And then you have to screw them in just the right amount or the strip will slide around when you try to plug things in. And it never gets mounted perfectly horizontal or vertical so it looks sloppy. So I bought this strip because it had external mounting tabs. Also, because it has 13 plugs that are separated so they don't get covered by large power bricks. I work from home and have lots (I mean LOTS) of things I have to plug in. I liked it so much, I bought another 2 units. Now my walls look neat and professional. Here's how you mount it perfectly horizontal (or vertical): 1. Hold it against the wall where you want it. 2. Drill a hole for the upper right screw hole and put a screw in loosely. 3. Install a "level" program on your mobile phone (I use BubbleLevel) 4. Rotate the strip so the top is horizontal (use the level in your phone). 5. Now mark the other 3 holes. 6. Move the strip out of the way and drill the other 3 holes. 7. Rotate it back and screw it in. ... show more

Purchased Dec 2020, and by July 2021 all the USB ports have died completely. 20W USB PD port was only used to charge an iPad Pro that needs an 18W charger, and the 12W USB ports couldn't handle an iPhone 11 for a year. Cool form factor, too bad it didn't live up to its USB specifications.

I am very pleased with the TROND USB C Power Strip Surge Protector. I had a nest of cords behind the computer desk going to two electrical strips. I used the provided screws to attach this unit to the side of a wooden file cabinet. This allowed me to organize the plugs. The placement of the horizontal and vertical plugs worked perfect for me. The unit construction is excellent. The purchase arrived quickly as promised. Was packaged in original box inside a second box. The packaging was very good and did not allow the unit to move around. So I have the Trond V s power strip, the unit with the USB C port. I do like the unit and it's definitely what I was looking for and it's size supports all the devices I need plugged in. My favorite aspect of the unit is its options, it's got the several types of USB slots built in and the wide spaced outlets which have been excellent for fitting multiple power bricks. But...yes there's a but...after 4 months I've been noticing some issues. It's delivering power inconsistently, I starting noticing it when a fan would oddly slow down and speed up on its own. And now a lamp plugged into dims on its own. I'm also having an issue with the Quick charge USB port, sometimes it will work as expected but then another time it will operate like a basic USB port and not provide enough juice to fast charge. The area around the USB ports gets hot too, and I don't leave things plugged into the USB ports long...just when I need something charged. I like it but it's not giving me much confidence about its longevity...im not sure what to do about it ... show more

If you need 6 power adapters and 4 regular plugs, this product is for you. The USB port is not impressive. It took 5 minutes to charge 3% of iPhone 11. I really like this product. Unfortunately, the cord is only 5ft.

This power strip is perfect for all of my WIFI/Telephone connections at my business. I love how there are multi-directional outlets, it makes it easier to fit the bulky plugs and allowing more space for the smaller plugs to fit. Having the USB ports makes is the perfect fit for everything!
