Top Amazon Reviews

  • Directly after assembly and 1 test drive review. And its good.
This may be a little long winded but will hopefully cover any information you might be wanting before purchasing. If you are looking at purchasing this tricycle, then your budget to do so is probably like mine, on the lower side. I bought this for my 80 year mama who doesnt get around that well. She is just 5 foot. This tricycle says to fit people as short as 4'9" (more on that below). At the time of purchase this Tricycle cost me $709 with free shipping. Which pretty effectively makes it the cheapest one on Amazon. Keep that in mind as you read. Because during the assembly, I didnt have real high hopes that it would be as nice as it was in the pictures. Side note: When you open the box it comes in, take a second and marvel at how well its packaged. It took me a few moments to even decide where to begin to get it outta the box. Assembly was very smooth with the video. The bike seems to be mostly tuned at the plant. So you are more or less just attaching the misc. stuff. The handlebars were a bit confusing until I pulled up the video. Then it made sense. There were a few things that were a little bent or misaligned. Nothing that wasnt easy to fix. Most the the attachment points have enough play to get things where they need to be. This was still WAY better then I expected. When you purchase the cheapest of anything, most of the time it borders on frustration and regret. You'll get neither with this bike. The hardware seems to be stainless steel. Which is great. They shouldnt rust. My only complaint is that the washers are just straight washers. They really needed to be locking washers. With moderate use, I dont see how some of these screws will not back out and loosen a bit. The only problem I encountered was one of the chain guides was bent and the screws were loose. Had to get a pair of pliers and bend a couple of places and realigned the guards and put the chain back on. They include 2 allen wrenches but these screws were of a different size. Thankfully I have many of my own and found one that fit. Id suggest looking first at the chains and guides to make sure they are straight and tight. I didnt notice mine till I tried to ride it the first time. I had to tilt the bike on its tail so the front tire was pointing towards the ski. I had to use pillows to protect the rear fenders cause I didnt feel like taking them off to do this quick fix. But wouldnt hurt to have some extra allen wrenches and if possible, locking washing before you start. Functionality is pretty good. I did a test ride with my mama in mind. There were some issues. First, the bike is supposed to be usable by people as short as 4'9". I dont know about that. The seat is really high. Even on its lowest setting. Stepping into the bike isnt really a problem but the seat is... and its horrible. Its tall and uncomfortable. Even at 5'10" I cant just sit on the seat. I have to step up onto it. It has a "shock" on the post but even at 200 lbs, it doesnt really work. It compresses but doesnt spring back up and doesnt bounce. I highly doubt my mom will be able to get into the seat. So I am going to replace it with a wider, lower and more comfortable seat. Even if I was going to be using this bike for myself, Id still replace the seat. Keep in mind that the seat is in the way of removing the battery pack. This included seat pops forward and out of the way. Dont know if you could find I could find a better seat with this same function. It has a quick disconnect on the seat post, so guessing I will just have to remove the seat and post to get the battery pack out if needed. As for the electric ride function of the bike, its fast and powerful. I drove it on gravel, asphalt and thick tall grass. It has enough power and torque for all of it. Again, while doing the test ride I was thinking bout my mom. The speed control is lacking. There isnt a lot of veritable speed when you turn the nob. It goes from nothing to pretty quick. Not like spin the tires in gravel quick but for an elderly person, it could catch them a bit off guard. It has 3 modes but I didnt really notice a difference between the 3. Couldnt tell you which one has less torque. I didnt dig into the paperwork but there is no mention that I could see on the sales page to explain the level differences. Sadly, at no time did I notice a pairing of the pedal drive and the electric drive. But I only did maybe 1000 foot test ride. I kinda expected you to be able to "assist". But if you are not pedaling as fast as the electric motor is going, you are just spinning your feet. Again, this might be something one needs to learn when to help and when not to. The biggest draw back to the pedal drive is, no gears. Pedaling the bike takes some decent leg strength. I dont foresee my mama being able to pedal this bike at all with as old and weak as she is. But thats why it has electric drive. Overall I am seriously impressed with the build quality, materials and functionality of this bike. Keep in mind that most of my "issues" are based on the needs of an elderly mom. For any normal person, this bike should work amazing. I believe with a few changes to the seat, OH and I am going to buy larger pedals. The ones it comes with are kid sized. With these two changes I suspect my mom will be able to use the bike effectively. ... show more

  • first ride went ok
got it a few days ago and assembled it today with a friend. def took some hours to assemble. came with full battery charge and somewhat flat tires, need to put air in tires to be able to pedal. video is v fast so had to screen record it and slow it down so I can follow the steps. rides fine. I cant balance on regular bike but can balance on this trike pretty ok. I am 5'3" and I don't know if it would be comfortable if I was any shorter. they provided accessories like horn, front light, cover for back basket, phone holder, and mirrors so now I do not have to buy those separately. The seat is somewhat wide and firm but comfortable. not sure if I should/can switch to a wider one. I read the manual back to back and while it has some useful information for sure, it has many errors such as repetitions or mistranslations. I have a long list of questions to send the company to understand many questions that came up while reading the manual. overall, seems nice. ... show more

  • Test your planned rider at a local shop first
Color: Light Blue Style: Standards
Well, after careful review online I decided to purchase this etrike. The planned usage was for my wife, who is somewhat elderly and not walking as well as she used to. The plan was for her to be able to ride along with my walking pace and distances. So I purchased this bike. Unlike some other reviews, I found this to be extremely easy to put together, what little assembly there was. And it's a very solid bike. The power at defaults surprised even me. The manual doesn't provide all the P codes available, but a quick search online provided that, P codes are pretty standard across the brands. This bike has available P codes 1 through 16. I was able to limit down the max power, speed, take off parameters, screen brightness, etc. Most codes remain at default. The only real problem with the bike is no matter what my wife is extremely nervous and unsteady on the bike, to the point she can't use it. This is not a problem with the bike. I've ridden it, even at full power settings, and I find it easy to use and quite intuitive. I would merely suggest that if you plan this trike for a person because they are slower walking, unsteady on feet, (she uses two walking sticks when we hike), elderly, etc., to try the person out at a local bike shop first. Otherwise, very nice bike. Lights front and back, horn, even came with mirrors and phone carrier bag which weren't in the description. Now the plan is for me to find a suitable bike trailer I can use that she will be comfortable in, not too expensive. Or a 4 wheel ebike I can afford. And then go on the long paved bike trails we have in our area. The only thing I'll need is to find out how I can obtain a spare battery to take along. I can imagine the 30 mile range won't be adequate with one battery. ... show more

  • Nice design..poor craftsmanship.
Color: Orange Style: With Phone Bag&mirror
The media could not be loaded. The welds on the bike were miss aligned, causing the bike to lean in one direction. Made sure the bike was on level ground and the exact air pressure was in both tires and the bike is 10° off. The welds on the main structure of the bike are not lined up correctly, causing the whole structure of the bike to lean to the right. The bike went to the right all the time when operating. ... show more

  • Great E-Bike
Color: White Style: Standards
Amazing! This bike is totally worth it. Very well made and was easier to put together than I thought it would be. The packing was very good with lots of padding. I was surprised with the cell phone carrier and mirrors that were included. I have no regrets and would buy again.
