Description

The RMR Type 2 is designed with a patented housing shape that absorbs impacts and diverts stresses away from the lens to increase durability. It also offers redesigned and upgraded electronics that have been proven to perform when mounted on slide ride pistols and other small arms. It’s suitable for military, law enforcement, concealed carry self-defense, target shooting, and hunting applications. The RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED sight puts the illumination control in the user’s hands. Easy-to-use buttons on the sides of the optic allow the user to adjust the illumination brightness, toggle between manual and automatic modes, and power down the RMR for storage. The automatic mode functions the same as the LED RMR version. If a manual mode has been chosen, the RMR will remain in manual mode for 16.5 hours following the last push of a button. After 16.5 hours, the optic will default back to the automatic mode so that the RMR will be ready for your next mission or task. All RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED sights are compatible with night vision devices, with the 3.25 MOA dot size being the most popular. Additionally, the user can also lock out the buttons so that the RMR functions in automatic mode only. This ensures that inadvertent button pushes do not cause a loss of aiming solution. The 3.25 MOA dot in the RM06 is the most versatile and popular of all RMR dot sizes. The dot is small enough to allow accurate shooting at range while also being big enough to locate quickly.

All of my main "squeezes" wear Trijicon RMR's. Sure, I could have more if I had cheaper Chinese versions, but if my, my family's, or others' lives are at stake I trust Trijicon. They live on top of rifle optics, a shotty, and several handguns. I want to try the new one with the top-loading battery, but I have been using an RMR since they first came out. Out of the half-dozen I've purchased, one of them failed approximately 50 rounds into testing. It was sent back and a new item was returned without any problems. It was between this and the aimpoint acro p2 and I went with the gold standard RMR. I got this one more the aesthetic, but also wish I had the acro at the same time. The one I got was missing some screws, tool, and was clearly used by someone else and likely an Amazon return, but all of the core was present and accounted for so I went with it. The lenses were smudged and there was a bit of dust in the projection port. After a good cleaning with camera lens cleaners, it was good as new. I put a brand new battery in it to be safe from rattling around in a box. My only other experience with these are holosun and eotech, which honestly are almost the exact same. The red is a bit bigger even though marketed as the same MOA. My setup is a cowitness so setting it up was very simple and only needed a couple minor tweaks upon validating. I don't see it going out of spec and I am very confident with this setup. I put marks on the battery and a calendar reminder to replace annually. Just what I needed. I’m over 50 now and I have trouble focusing on iron sights and a distant target at the same time, especially in dark environments (even though had night sights). This sight solves my problem. I can see the red dot clearly in any light and at any distance.

Some of the reviews make this look sketchy. But i see one consistent in them. It was one seller and probably with the best price that was selling the fakes. That seller has been kicked off. I bought mine where the seller is amazon. It came, and passed all of the various "is it a fake" tests. The final, register it with trijicon. Result = Pass! I bought this to replace a vortex that came with my 509, that vortex wouldn't hold a zero to save it's own life. I feel like it was just a bad one, however i needed something i could trust my life with, so i decided to go with the trusted trijicon. It's a pretty neat sight, so far the auto brightness feature is working well for me. It's also kind of a pain to shut the site off, i can imagine it would be impossible if you didn't have a strong enough grip to press both buttons at the same time. It's one solid unit. ... show more
