The Bunky Board provides a solid surface foundation for any platform beds, bunks and daybeds. It adds support to the mattress and will keep mattress stay in good shape thus extending the life of your mattress. It will give a firm bottom support for the mattress and raises the mattress up for about 1.5 inches. I had initially used spaced bamboo slats for my memory foam mattress and too much of it would spill through, especially at the edges. With these boards I have consistent pressure across the mattress and great edge support. Worth the extra cost

Our platform bed already has wooden slats. We were hoping this would fill in the blank area or do something to even out the bed. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. This "bunkie board" is probably good if you have no support but since it's not a solid piece of wood, it does nothing for a bed that already has some slats. We are getting heavy duty particle board cut at Home Depot. I've had that before and it's honestly the best option. ... show more
