    • Great Billy Pot
This was a fantastic investment. I have the Trangia Series 27 set and this pot was made specifically for that set. Just got the pot today and put it to use. Make cabbage and spam in the new pot for a meal with a side of brown rice. All in all, it easily fed 3 people and I'm over 300 lbs. For desert I made blueberry muffin mix in one of the smaller pots by using the new billy pot as a steamer stove. Put about 3/4 inch water in the bottom of the big pot, put in a silicon egg ring, then put the small pot with the batter on top of the silicon ring. Put the top on the billy pot and let the alcohol stove burn until empty (with the simmer ring on after the water came to a boil). Turned out great! And the whole series 27 kit fit inside the billy pot perfectly (had to remove strap though). The strap fit around the pot with about 3/4 inch sticking out. All in all, it was a GREAT experience and it will definitely be my go to gear when I go fishing on the weekends. The pot was kind of expensive. But after using it, I feel that the cost was well worth it since it fits as part of the series 27 set. There is also a different pot for the series 25 set if you have that.     • It is what it is...
There's not much one can or should say of a cooking pot. This cook pot will fit the Trangia Model 27 set in it, and fits perfectly on it when set up. It is perforce less stable than the smaller bowls which fit INSIDE the set, but not unsafely so. The lid has a small cut-out in its flange which you can't see in the picture but which aids in draining and steam release. It's a good feature I'd like to see on cookware made for home. The bail will lock in the upright position, but not in the "stowed" position. The whole pot is made of aluminum, the lid of mine was slightly misshapen and doesn't stay on quite as positively as I'd like. I will purchase a stuff sack for it or - might be wiser - make one out of dish-towel material to pull double-duty in drying out after washing-up. I give it four stars because it is satisfactory and worth the money, but nothing more. What the heck, it's a pot - my imagination fails at the task of conjuring up what sort of amazing features a pot could possibly have to earn it five stars. ... show more

    • Came shipped warped and out of round.
This is the first Trangia product I have ever had an issue with, not only was it bent and out of round and I had to straighten it out the lid does not fit correctly. It's as if lid may be for a different diameter pot/pan. I used this pot twice. Fits the Trangia system great. Canned chili heated up just fine. But the second meal I cooked in it was smoked sausage and sauerkraut. After cooking when I washed the pot I found pin holes in the bottom and the sides of the pot. It will not hold liquid ever again. The material is very thin to be lightweight but simmering kraut should not eat thru it. Trangia....please make this pot doussal. The stainless steel liner would not add any considerable weight and would make this pot much much more durable. ... show more

Nice small billy pot. Great for dry baking and smaller meals. Trangia 27-8 barely fits inside because of the strap buckle. You have to slide the buckle as far down as you can. Will still probably scratch the inside of the pot

I have this with a trangia 27. The 27 fits inside. I just wish that the strap for the 27 cook set would fit around this pot. Just 1 inch longer. So if you get this find a strap for the 25 cook set to hold it all together. Other then that, it's a perfect fit. It sets on the cooker the same way the fry pan does. ... show more

I really love this product. If you are looking for ultra lite back packing gear this is not for you. However if you are looking for something that will allow you to use your Trangia 27 to cook for four people or a wato boil large quantities of water for purification. You will love this product. It is well made. The bail as a sturdy mounting system and a dimple in the center to keep the pot centered. Your 27 cook set fit inside and is protected by the pot. ... show more

My 27 fits in just perfect. I add a towel to prevent it from clanking. On a still day, temp around freezing, my 27 did boil 2 quarts of water, although I had to refill the stove.
