I highly recommend this smart plug for charging ebikes. This smart plug allows you to set a timer for when charging will be turned on or off, or set scheduled times for when charging will be turned on or off. A scheduled time could look like from 9:00 to 5:00 for example. You decide when that schedule is using the app. Further, the "charge guard" feature is very useful for safe ebike charging. The charge guard feature detects when the charging power drops below a certain wattage for a certain amount of time. You can set what this wattage and time is. For example, if you want your ebike battery to stop charging after charging power drops below 3W for 20min (which is around the levels that may indicate a full charge), you would go into the charge guard feature and set the specified wattage to 3W and the specified time to 20min. There is also a "power protection" feature that allows you to set a maximum charging power limit. For example, if I set the limit to 140W, that means that if my charging power ever went above 140W, charging would stop. Conclusion: the timer, schedule, charge guard, and power protection are all important safety features for safe ebike charging. ... show more

I’ve had great experiences with TP-Link products, and the Tapo Smart Plug Mini is no exception. This 4-pack offers excellent value, and setup was incredibly easy. As always, no hub required and everything runs smoothly on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. What really impressed me is how feature-rich these plugs are: Scheduling and timers work perfectly for managing lights and small appliances. Runtime stats give insight into power usage, which is helpful for monitoring high-use devices. Away mode and smart actions add security and automation. Alexa and Google Home integration is seamless—I’ve had no issues controlling devices with voice commands. These devices pay for themselves when you calculate the cost savings they provide leveraging the scheduling features. They also have great range—I have one running in the attic and another outside in a dry box controlling flood lights, and both maintain strong, stable connections. Happy with this Product. Using it for almost 2 weeks. With Adaptor and without Adaptor also. Working perfectly. Able to sync with Tapo app and the Alexa App. Voice commands are working perfectly. Easy to install. Reaction time is harldy 2 seconds. There could be a challenge when you are trying to put behind the tables/bed etc where already socket exits. I bought two of these. It took a few tries to get them reliably setup and working, but now they're working perfectly. Haven't had any connection issues in the few days after getting them setup. I'm glad that the prior settings can be reused if you ever need to remove and re-add the device. The process to set the dimming range was confusing and could be improved. Having to do that over and over again would suck. The button is neat, but finicky to control. It doesn't stick to non-metal surfaces very well and that makes it hard to rotate and control the dimming. Trying to put more pressure on it to stabilize it ends up hitting the button and just turning the switch off. Since they're magnetic, controlling them on a metal surface is a bit easier. I do wish the outlets were independently controllable, but the lack of that feature doesn't impact my review. ... show more

Long story short, after contacting their support Woojin was able to guide me through getting it to work and his response both times was quick and clear. I was surprised as usually you have to wait to hear back but it was working the same day. The Tapo P135 Kit is an excellent solution for smart lighting control, especially for homes without a neutral wire for a smart wall switch. My switch controls an electrical outlet behind my bed’s headboard, and I had two concerns: whether the switch would block the second outlet and if it would work with off-the-shelf dimmable LED bulbs. The switch’s compact design left the second outlet accessible, and in-app calibration ensured compatibility with my LED bulbs. I also customized a switch wall plate by adding an N52 magnet behind the circular metal plate, increasing magnetic strength to keep the dimmer switch secure. One tip: perform the calibration in complete darkness to accurately detect the lowest dimmer setting.
