LOVE this lock! Super easy installation and programming. Sleek look. Smooth operation. Remote access/control. You can assign codes on the fly, and choose whether they work all of the time or for just certain periods. I thought having a keyless car was great, but a keyless house is even better! No more fumbling for keys, the kids can unlock the door without waiting for one of the grownups to dig out a key and muscle their way to the front of the line. Single-touch locking, so leaving is a breeze - and verbal confirmation of lock status means no second guessing. Fingerprint reader works flawlessly, touch pad is responsive and doesn’t show prints, app is solid and loads quickly. We have a Reolink doorbell so we’ve disabled the Tapo one, so I can’t speak to that. Only improvement I’d like to see is the ability to have the door lock at a certain time (if it isn’t already). It would be extra peace of mind if I knew that the door would lock itself at 9:30pm every night, just in case we forget. I’d also like to be able to choose a timeframe when the auto-lock feature they currently have is active. As is, you can have the door auto-lock a certain amount of time after it’s unlocked, but it applies all of the time. I’d like to be able to set parameters, such as “between the hours of 9:30pm and 7am, auto-lock 3 minutes after unlocking” - again, just in case one of the dogs needs to go out and upon letting it back in, the door doesn’t get re-locked. Installation was quick and straightforward—no need for special tools or professional help. The price is more than fair considering how many features it packs in. You get multiple access options: fingerprint, PIN, and even a physical key for emergencies. It’s intuitive to use and integrates seamlessly with Alexa right out of the box—no need for extra modules or unreliable add-ons like I had with a well-known (and much pricier) competitor. If I had to nitpick, I’d say it could be a bit more compact and offer more color options to match different door styles. Insulation was very easy. We upgraded from an August lock so we only needed one app and this lock works with our cameras. The app is very easy to use and add what ever code or fingerprint I need. I love being able to use my fingerprint for access and give guest access codes when needed. We haven’t had any connectivity issues. One thing I wish it had was WiFi connectivity where it would automatically unlock when it connects to my phone. It would make grocery store days a little easier. The other I believe is just me and I need to get used to having to doorbell because I randomly hit it on occasion. I don’t know it it is too close to the pin pad or just me. ... show more

Installation was as easy as it could be. The directions are complete and explicit and definitely worth using/following. The integration with my existing Kasa/Tapo devices was seamless; very easy and consistent with installing other devices. I love the control that I have of the lock and the variety of settings to employ. While we lost the ability to use our existing Kwikset key, the variety of other means to unlock (fingerprint, keypad code, and app control) are more than sufficient and feel like a significant upgrade.
