I picked up the travel router for a recent Norwegian cruise, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. Most people know that using a travel router can sometimes cut your speeds down noticeably, especially when you're sharing hotel or cruise Wi-Fi, but that really wasn’t my experience here. I was still consistently getting around 70–80 Mbps, which was more than enough for streaming, browsing, and working remotely onboard. Setup was mostly straightforward, and the router handled public Wi-Fi sharing better than I expected. The only thing worth mentioning is that the captive portal login screen for the cruise Wi-Fi took a minute to pop up initially. Since I also hid my SSID for a little extra privacy, I had to make sure I remembered the exact network name whenever reconnecting haha. Overall though, this little router performed way above my expectations for travel use. Compact, reliable, and surprisingly fast considering the environment. This travel router has been an excellent purchase. The quality feels very solid and reliable, especially for the price. I wanted something compact and easy to travel with, and this has worked perfectly for hotels, public WiFi, and trips where I want a little extra security and peace of mind. Setup was surprisingly simple, even for someone who doesn’t want to spend hours messing with network settings. Can't believe I didn't buy this sooner. Perfect for traveling. Watched a utube video and assigned the same name as password as my home internet. Once I learned the app, it was super quick and easy to set up and all of the electronics connected immediately because the network is the "same" as home. The router is great and worked perfectly while I was traveling. Used it all day for two weeks and never had a problem with connection. The only reason for not giving this a 5 star is the initial connection with the app. Took numerous times trying to find the router even though it was already in My Products. TL-WR3602BE, TP-Link BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 Travel Router This is the best product I have bought, I recommend this product to anyone who wants to have, private, secure internet WiFi connection at home or on travel. It comes with as 35 VPN providers. I have a Surfshark account and keeps my WiFi network secure and private from snooping. I have attached photo of the BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 travel router. Folks it’s plug play device, but you still have to read and follow the directions on the manual it comes with. So far I have connected three devices and the WiFi speeds are outstanding. No buffing WiFi signal. You have to install the app on Apple or android devices to make the connection between your smartphone and the router. It comes with its own device password but once you’re connected, you can change it to a much stronger better password. Be keep in mind to have that device password handy just in case something you done is corrected. But it will work for you. Once you have a secure connection, you can add a VPN service provider of your own. If not you have to get one. To make it work for you and your device, while you’re in the internet. I give it a five star since it works for me. For travel it’s a must, since you already have the app on your smartphone phone , you can take it on your travels and have a secure, private and safe internet connection at all hotel that offer free WiFi once you are connected to the hotel WiFi or cable connection. No worries surfing, watching tv, games for the kids devices. You are protected from hacker, scammers who want to harm you. Plus you can see who is connected to your secure private network. If that happens is because you have a weak password, make sure to create a password that’s strong and very , I mean very hard to guess. I’ve owned TP-Link routers in the past and they all worked as expected. I bought this unit to take on cruises. This unit did not work out of the box. Although the signal strength was strong connecting to its 5gb WIFI was inconsistent and when I did get connected the speed test was slower than the old dialup modems. This unit is not good enough for email let alone streaming. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. If I could give this a negative star I would. ... show more
