This is really great for kids who are just learning and beginning. The bag area is small, but for kids it's just right. IT does require some adjusting here and there, especially if your kid is a strong puncher like mine is. Overall, I am happy with it and so is my six year old son.

This is a fun recreational type of punching bags for kids. I wouldn't recommend it for super hard training cause not sure if it will hold up. This is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The stem seems a little delicate for super hard punching. However, as a recreational punching bag it is perfect as long as you don't pretend to be Rocky Balboa with it. My 10 year old has been playing with for about a week now and it has held up. Make sure to weigh down the base. As you can see in the attached pic it does require some assembly. The punching ball seems to be pretty good quality. No it wont stand up to an adult punching it but yes for kid. The gloves are pretty nice for the little set. I wish the base was a little heavier though. But everything else in this set seems pretty good quality.

We got this to help our kids get some energy out during the winter. The punching bag is easy to set up and of decent quality, and my ten and seven-year-olds both enjoy using it. The quality is good, and it is a beginner set that isn't built for professional training. Yet, it's held up to both kids wailing on it for the past two weeks. If you're looking for something that's pro-level practicing, this isn't the kit for you, but for amateurs that want to have something to hit occasionally, this is a great option, and I wouldn't hesitate to share it with others to get some aggression out. I got this for my Elementary school kids could have some fun punching a bag. It helps give them a workout and they really enjoy it! It’s sometimes not easy to get kids to separate from their devices, so making sports and exercise fun is a real plus. This is a winner at my house!

    • Punching area a bit small, and requires constant adjustment

My kids have been taking Taekwondo, and I wanted to get them something to practice their punching technique on. I’ve also seen the full size blow-up figures that you can punch, but those seem to require a bit more space, so I settled for this type of a punching bag instead. The setup is fairly simple, and all of the tools that you need to put it together are included in the package. I had expected my kids to be super excited with this item, but unfortunately, the excitement didn’t last too long. In my view, there are a couple of issues with the product. First, the punching area is a bit small, and there’s a screw immediately below it (where you attach it to the stand). As my kids are punching and kicking the bag, every once in a while, their hands or feet would hit the screw or metal stand portion instead. If they had the punching gloves on (which comes included with the product), it wouldn’t matter, but without it on (or if they are kicking), then it hurts when they miss the bag. Secondly, after a few rounds of punching, the bag gets a little loose, and we would have to re-tighten it. Lastly, even though we filled up the base with water, if my kids (4 and 6 years old) punched hard enough, sometimes the base would tip a little. Not enough for it to flip, but enough for it to angle off of the group. I can imagine the one thing tipping over if the 6 years old punches any harder. ... show more

I got this for my 8 year old nephew who has taken a liking to very physical sports such as wrestling and karate. Set up was very easy, and I found that it is a good idea to weigh the base down.
