The MQ01ABD100V offers the industries highest areal density per platter, at 254 gigabits per square inch. The drives 5400 RPM motor speed, improves system-level performance by as much as 12 percent when compared to 4200 RPM. This new drive offers enough capacity for portable video recording and editing, with lower power consumption compared to the traditional 3.5-inch HDDs. This functionality provides ideal storage for PS3 / PS4 Game Console. The MQ01ABD100V incorporates the SATA 3.0Gbps interface and is ATA-8 compliant, supporting high media transfer rates of up to 801 megabytes per second.

I have initialized my PlayStation twice, rebuilt the data base and have even tried wiping EVERYTHING except the ONE game I wanted to play taking up only 90/800 available GB. And it would still corrupt! It got to a point where my tv & video apps would corrupt too! But I installed this and it fixed everything! Runs way less hot as well. ... show more

I bought a PlayStation 3 recently and saw it only had 150gb storage total, so that had to change. Overall this drive is perfect in terms of capacity and access speed (for an HDD). Pop this right into your PS3, install your firmware from a USB drive and you’re set… with 600gb free space! Wait how? The firmware was only 200mb?! Yep, but the PS3 reserves a percentage of your HDD space for system functions, mostly browser and multitasking functions. It’s a huge percentage, especially at this capacity. You can fix it by modding/jailbreaking/hacking/flashing your PS3 with custom firmware (note: against TOS of Sony and you might get banned from online play, with a VERY real chance your full PSN account will be banned!) and unlocking or even choosing how much storage gets used for this function. I set mine to 2gb and I have not seen any issues yet. ... show more

Good for ps4 Crashing and never updating nothing works. This will fix it!!! i bought it with close chance of getting a ps5 because my ps4 just stopped working and this device helped it 100% now it dosent do anything suspicious.
