I ordered two TORRAS car phone mounts for our 2001 Rav4 and 2008 Pilot. Both arrived two days after ordering in sturdy boxes with excellent packaging. The instructions are well illustrated and clear. I chose this particular unit because I liked the idea of using a hook to secure the mount to the vanes of car's a/c vents. Included are photos of the way I set up the mount in the Rav4 & Pilot. My wife wanted to still be able to control the a/c vent on the driver side of the Rav4. I used the furthest vent on the dash which still allowed her to use the phone & adjust the a/c vent nearest the driver. The left side vent on the Pilot was a better placement than the center vents, as it was more secure and left the center console controls free of any obstructions. The height of the mount to the left of the steering wheel provided a good view of the phone's navigation features while keeping eyes on the road. I was also impressed by the Twist-lock Air Vent Clip. In the photo you will see that the tip of the clip has a tab which is to be secured to the inside lip of the vent vane. The design of the clip allows the tip to close first on the vent vane lip as the clip is tightened with the twist lock. This ensures that the clip is secure and won't wobble loose like the competitors friction only clips. I tried it in several locations in both cars, and it works exceptionally well, allowing more mounting options for those who have different vehicles. Even though the TORRAS is almost double the cost of cheaper car phone mounts, the well thought out design, quality, ease of installation, and rock solid mounting makes the TORRAS Car Phone Holder well worth the price. I bought this car mount because it appeared to work in round car vents. It didn’t fit in mind. I have a Ford Expedition and these are difficult to fit any vent holders. I was going to just return, but they messaged me and said they would help with alternatives. I messaged photos and they sent me a windshield mount and dash mount to try. The windshield mount fits well and seems really sturdy and well made. I have it so the photo rests on the dash, as well to help with it not pulling off the windshield. It seems really secure. The customer service was phenomenal. Would definitely purchase more Torras products in the future based off that alone. ... show more

Love this product! Attaches easily to air vent and holds strong. Is deep enough to hold my phone securely even with a popsocket on the back. I like the push button on the back to open compared to the spring action of other products because it’s easier to do with one hand. After 1 year the plastic snapped with regular use (and some rough driveways) but customer service promptly replaced the product with no hassle. I would recommend! I would have probably bought a second if customer service didn’t replace it for free! ... show more

Needed to replace my previous phone mount and I was having trouble with fitment using other brands. The aircon vent fins were too wide for some other brands but the hook included on this base was a great size. I really appreciate that two types of bases are provided as it gave me the option of which to use. I ended up using the "wolf teeth" (I think that's what it is called) instead of the legs mount. I like the clip but clip #1 wont tighten as at its tightest point is not enough for the vent. Clip #2 works but doesn’t stay. Have to reset it every day. Maybe I’m doing something wrong IDK.

I have been shopping for car phone mount for 2022 Mercedes Benz GLB250 for several week and have purchased and returned several so called universal mount which cannot fit my car vent. I eventually settled with TORRAS! The holder itself is very sturdy and well designed and easy on and off with one click release button. The only problem for the Benz vent is that there is no support (no horizontal or vertical) within the vent that allow any mount to hook on. I made my return for this product and got message from their customer service representative trying to help me. I shown her my car vent and she came up with the solution. Never have I been reached by a customer representative from a store on Amazon who care so much about its customer and really trying to help the customer. This is the best phone holder. I love, love, love it, except the arm that reaches out to hook onto the vent breaks too fast/easily. It broke off after 2 yrs of minimal use. It’s plastic, but needs to be metal. Of course I saw that there is a newer model with a metal arm, after I purchased a second one of these the other day. I’ll prob get that one when this new one breaks. I’m taking off 2 stars, 1 for the plastic, easily broken arm, and 1 for how expensive it is. When I bought the first one, it was like $16. Now it’s around $25, which is ridiculously high. Update- customer service is great. I received an upgraded item with the metal arm after I was contacted by customer service. So I’m adding back a star for that. ... show more
