I bought this phone holder (in green) about 6 months ago. Used it EVERYDAY at work inside of heavy machinery. The little part that attaches on the back orbital piece broke off oit of no where making it unable to be fixed. Amazons warranty/return was out so I went directly to the email on the card that comes with the charger/mount in the box (always save your little annying paperwork ladies and gents haha) Withing 24hrs I recieved a reply, just had to confirm proof of purchase and i sent them the dame picture i posted here of the broken product. The representative was Lynn and they got me a replacement within a few days. Bery nice and they back their products and honored that sometimes things are defective or break which i 120% respect. Got a new one but in black (because of warehouse supply) but honestly this black one looks a lot cleaner and nice with the glossy finish to it. Overall sad it broke but glad i was able to get a replacement right away and get back to using it. Will definetly recommend this product to everyone who wants to charge and mount their phone simultaneously. Thank you Lynn for all your help 5 starts ... show more

Updated review: The seller contacted me and offered an improved replacement with a 2 year warranty. I wanted this to work last time so I accepted the upgrade. I've waited for 3 months to post this until I had tested it completely. I've taken it on 3 long all day road trips and use it for work 4 days a week making deliveries and doing estimates in my construction related business. It has worked great! I initially had an overheating problem and the charger would not shut down on the old version. In this new version it did. This was great news! It worked as advertised. My phone didn't need to shut down when it got hot. The charger did. I turned on A/C and opened windows and within 5 minutes it was up and charging again. The think the aluminum clamping arms dissipated the heat fast. It occurred while running Google Maps for more than an hour on warm 80 - 90 degree days here in Oregon because I don't turn on my A/C until it hit's 90's. I initially thought my DC adaptor was too strong but tried a lower wattage unit and the over heating problem and shutting down persisted. I then ran Maps in the Dark Mode and the problem went away. I surmised my Google Pixel 6A Pro was draining the battery too fast and required constant charging to keep up, which overheated it. An update to Maps has also helped reduce the power consumption although dark mode is really the solution. I can charge off and on for 5-6 hours with maps running and I still have around 75-85% battery left by the end of the day. I'm glad I gave them another chance because this mount has higher quality made arms and motor gears than other brands I've tried. The new customer service representative emailed and responded to me multiple times after receiving the replacement to check on it's status. I would and have recommended this charger. Old review: Stopped working 11 days out of warranty and there is no way to reach the seller. Beware of products with a short warranty period. I wanted to love this product because it was made with aluminum arms and had a stronger mount. I have tried 4 other brands and they all broke within 6 months. This cost more but just lasted 3 months. Pros: the arms opened far enough to grab my Pixel 6 pro and charged through an Otter box defender case. Made with aluminum arms and had a stronger mount. Cons: The issues it had were in the charging elements. It was supposed to have an over heat shut off sensor that never worked. Before I bought it I messaged the seller and they assured me it would shut off when hot. It caused my phone to over heat and luckily my phone would shut itself off. I hope it didn't damage the battery. I read the manufactures description and it said: "When your phone is fully charged, the wireless car phone charger will automatically power off and protect the battery of your phone" It never did. That's what happened the day it finally stopped working. I was running Google maps for about an hour on a road trip. When my phone notified me that it was too hot and shutting down I tried to remove my phone so it could cool off but the charger arms would not open and it never worked since. There doesn't seem to be any way to reset it ether. In the detailed description of the holder where they suggest what to do if it's not charging your phone, it says "Preventing your phone from overheating: We suggest you close Apps to reduce power consumption and turn off phone screen during wireless charging." My question is how do you use a map if you're supposed to close all aps and turn off the screen? My other holders worked fine with Google maps running. The arms just broke and stopped opening because of the wide phone. I'm hoping the seller will see this post and contact me. I really liked it and would like a replacement. Because I'm thinking that maybe I just got a faulty one. ... show more

This has been my most favorite phone charger to date! I like that it automatically clamps your phone so you don't have to do anything, but you can press a button to release it if you want. It maintains a very tight grip on my Samsung S23 phone (case included). I’ve been using this CHGeek auto-clamping wireless car charger/phone mount for a few weeks now, and I’m mostly pleased—hence 4 stars and not 5. Here’s what stood out to me: What works well: The feature I like most is how it opens and closes automatically when you press the side buttons. It’s so much more convenient than fiddling with clamps every time you put your phone in. Charging is solid. As expected for a 15W Qi charger, it keeps my phone powered during drives without too much fuss. The mount itself feels decently sturdy when the phone is in place. I haven’t had any drops or big slips. What could be better: Occasionally it fails to automatically close. There have been moments where I press the side buttons, but the arms don’t fully grip the phone until I nudge it manually. When the mount is open and no phone is in it, it rattles a bit—you hear the movement of internal parts. It’s more noticeable on bumpy roads. The finish and materials feel a bit on the cheaper side in some places, though nothing disastrous so far. Conclusion: If you want a smart, hands-free car phone mount that charges wirelessly and saves you from manual adjusters, this is a solid pick. Just keep in mind it’s not flawless—sometimes it misses the auto-grip, and there is some noise when empty. This product does charge my phone, BUT my BIGGEST issue is the auto clamping, it's sometimes and often don't, when I push the buttons on the side it tends to delay, more so often doesn't work i will need to keep adjusting the phone and pressing for it to clamp.I will forget to press the button due to the auto clamping feature not working while driving and my phone will come of the holder flying to the inside of my car, thank goodness I have a screen protector or else it would've shattered the glass on my phone. ... show more
