Honestly there are not enough words for how much I love this. I have many health and auto immune disorders that cause me to have very poor body reactions to sun and heat. Plus I’m a touch overweight. I’m the kind of person that if outside too long, will throw up from heat. So imagine how mad I am about the fact it’s 90 degrees in mid-May… in Seattle. Like seriously I am all about blessing the rains down in Seattle… But, in being part of the queer community, I always wondered how furries didn’t die in those suits walking around Pride events in the heat like. Heck. Mad respect. I was complaining about my heat issues one day and the person was like “yea we use personal AC” and my jaw dropped. Like that’s an option? Anyway so my searches led me to this, and I gotta say, it’s amazing. The cooling element feels like a chill ice pack and the fans push the air. Inside, it’s super awesome. You are personally air conditioned. Outside- if you’ve ever been in like, NOLA, on a day where it’s sweltering- there’s this feel when you cross from the air conditioned inside to the wall of heat outside, and for like 2 sec, you exist in both dimensions. This is pretty similar. You are very aware of the heat, but it’s still cool at the same time. It makes a huuuuge difference. I do wear mine upside down, so the vent holes are on the bottom, because when they are facing up they tickle my ears uncomfortably, and also make it super hard to hear. And, honestly, it’s not my head that’s overheating, it’s my torso. This direction cools off most of my body. Only wish is that the battery lasted longer, I get about 3 hrs a use. But, it works while charging, so if you have spare external batteries you can keep it going. If it does drop to zero you need to get it to about 3% before it powers back on. Highly recommend using included cable, in tests of other usb-c’s it didn’t charge as fast. I need ones for my arms and thighs to keep the air flow going as if it were Spice on Dune. Quality product. Simple buttons/modes. Works on neck/face well. Cooling plates go cold quickly. Seem to cool faster than it warms up (dual function). I use it to keep neck/face cold when a migraine hits and need the cooling effects only on the neck up. I wouldn’t expect this to keep a person completely cool when outside on a hot summer day….But it works exceptionally well for the use case above.     • Great cooling strategy for a hot-natured traveler
Being a woman in my 60s, I'm very hot natured. When I decided to travel to the UK during June and July, I knew I'd be in trouble with the heat, as air conditioning is pretty rare there. I bought the TORRAS COOLIFY 2 in hopes that it will provide relief. I've worn it at home, whenever it's within reach and I get HOT. It definitely helps me get cooler, even if only using the FAN function. Pros: It definitely helps me cool down, and the unit is admirably quiet when running on low & medium speeds. As the description says, the fan is bladeless, so there's no issue with it pulling my hair. Great battery life, and charges with a USB cable instead of requiring an a/c outlet. Cons: If carrying it when sightseeing, it will force me to carry a larger purse/bag, and the weight may be detrimental (when not in use). The unit beeps when turning it on/off, and I'm concerned it may be audible if I wear it during a performance or other quiet place. I've noticed that if I'm sweating and I place it on my neck, it can get a bit irritating to the skin, since the weight of it sort of drags. I have wondered if it will be prone to theft, if I'm sitting at a cafe wearing it - it looks a bit like a headset, but might be a curiosity to others. I have also wondered if the unit will raise questions when I enter places that they check contents of my bag. Overall, I'm very excited to have the TORRAS COOLIFY 2 - I know it will improve my travel experience! ... show more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the Coolify 2S, but other reviewers sounded satisfied, so I took a chance. I understand the basic principle of cooling the neck area to help cool the rest of the body, and I've tried the wet towel around the neck. Problem is, that cooling doesn't last very long, if at all. This little device has surprised me so far. It does have a fan the blows air up along the sides of the face, but more importantly, it has cooling plates that go around the neck. That's actually what makes it so effective. I tried it out for about 30 minutes, and when I removed it, the skin of my neck was colder than I expected it to be. It felt about the same as if I'd had a cold compress wrapped around my neck. Definitely impressed. I'm looking forward to experimenting with it, and seeing how well it does in the coming summer months. The battery seems to last, but I've only used it on low so far, so I have yet to see how well it works when it's really pushed hard to keep me cool. Also, a feature I like is using it while it's plugged in. So plugging it in while sitting at a desk or using a portable battery charger can greatly extend it's usefulness. I did have one issue with it, where it lost connection to my phone app. Their customer service is fantastic, and they clearly stand by their product. Their quick response guided me through the simple fix, and I haven't had any other problems with it. So far, so good. Now to just wait for the real test of the Summer months. ... show more
