Cost more then I wanted to spend but it was worth it. I use it on both the (Newport) trolling motor and the 5HP Mercury outboard. It fits both on my 12 foot Lowe Jon Boat.

It arrived promptly and was exactly as described. Unfortunately, it was not long enough to work satisfactorily. Equipment and its final placement was cause for return. I would certainly recommend the extension if you sit closer than 4 feet, which we could not adjust. Recommend the dealer for honest and prompt service and courteous return. I bought an off brand extension handle and it kept falling off. Wouldn’t grip well. Almost crash into the bank with my kayak haha. This handle is great and it does the job. Hasn’t fall off yet.

I got the 18" extension handle to my Newport 55lb motor. Fits and clamps nicely over the factory handle easily with a single large clamp that makes steering much easier in a small inflatable where you are sitting lower down that in a hard boat.
