I always make sure to check where a item is manufactured/made and seeing this is your generic made in China item, you can more or less expect a cheap mass produced product. The only reason I grabbed this specific tool box over dozens of similar ones was because it was the only black one, everything else is usually in the standard red. Receiving the product I already saw 2 major imperfections. First is that the lid does not comfortably close, it's a bit off centered so I have to push it a bit to get it to align to properly close. Second is probably one of the reasons why it's off centered, the lid was warped. I'm not sure if it was because of how it was handled during delivery or just built this way, I would assume because it's just cheap, but regardless, because of this, even if you close the toolbox, the far ends of the lid are still loose and do not perfectly fit, always leaving space for it to clank around with the lid seesawing. You could probably bend it in some manner to fix these issues but I'm not an expert at doing that so I could easily worsen it. A minor nitpick I had was with its height. Description/details stated it as 6.5 inches, which the container is... without the handle, which isn't removeable. With the handle lying down, it's about 7 inches and nearly 9 with it up. This mostly bothered me because that small addition prevented me from placing it where I had originally planned to. In the end though, all I needed was some container to hold some of my tools and it can seems to at least manage with that. ... show more
