I was gifted another gaming laptop riser from someone, and I ended up really liking the concept of having a cooling base for my gaming laptop. After a few weeks of use, I decided that I wanted to purchase something that had a bit more adjustability, and some neat RGB effects. This came in at a reasonable price, and had a whopping SIX fans, unlike the Klin I had been using, which only had four fans. PROS The sheer adjustability of this riser is excellent. I'm able to easily adjust the height on the fly, and there's multiple levels at which this can be set. Six fans do a reasonable job at keeping a gaming laptop cooler under normal usage. These fans are also backlit with dim blue LED lights, which adds a nice aesthetic. The RGB lighting effects are really neat. I'm a sucker for RGB lights, and this base does it well. They're also much easier to control, as opposed to other cooling bases with similar effects. This is not an expensive base, and definitely feels more substantial than others in the same price range that I've tried. CONS Despite six fans, and the fact that they can keep a gaming laptop cool with normal use, they don;t really seem to make much of a difference when actually gaming. I was still noticing how hot my laptop keyboard was getting while playing Skyrim, or Call Of Duty WWII. The adjustability comes from a thin metal bar underneath the main platform. It's anchored near the middle of the platform, so if you're doing any typing on your laptop, you'll notice a bit of wobbling or bouncing, so it's not the most stable base. Overall, it's a nice looking piece if you're looking for a riser for your laptop, and want to be able to keep it a bit cooler while using it. If you're looking for something to keep a more powerful rig cool, this may not be the best riser for that. I've been using mine at work, and I've been happy with it in that application. Useless fans on lower power at slower speeds. All 6 fans still full speed. Keeps my laptop cool as ice after 8 solid hours of heavy gaming use. Side vents were hot but the air can't get inside my laptop. But the unit itself was cold and battery pack was cold so not overheating. And the light display is cool. Wish it had a few more settings like setting the strobe lining to 1 color. Also 1 less level of tilt. Level 1 tilt is quite tilted. Less of a slant would be nice. For slant 4 stars. Everything else 5 stars. Unit is a 5 for me. Would buy again if this ever craps out. ... show more

I have a Dell G7 7590 - a mid tier gaming laptop before you start getting into the Alienware line, and over time, and more pronouncedly this past month, the cooling had begun degrading and fighting games like Guilty Gear Strive began intermittently running in slow motion as the laptop got hot. It's a fairly recent phenomenon. I ordered this cooling pad on Monday and I'm writing this review two hours of playing after it arrived. Seems like mission accomplished. This is a powered cooling pad that will keep your laptop cool even under heavy load usage. My only issue with it is that it doesn’t tend to remember the lighting and fan speed profile whenever you turn it off and back on. It’s not super loud which is important cause some cooling fans are LOUD. The lights are adjustable and can be put on different light settings or turned completely off. The little phone holder is great cause I can watch my shows while I game.

Bought this a few hours ago and arrived faster than was initially expected. The RGB is vivid and not too bright. The fan speed is absolutely perfect and produces a perfect airflow to noise ratio. VERY little noise. I am a very satisfied customer.
