I'm disabled and only use the mouse on my laptop (typing via an onscreen keyboard). My new computer is a thin and light, metal-cased model and the processor must be directly under where my hand sits, and my hand stays there for hours at a time without moving. It gets uncomfortably warm even with moderate use. Using this cooling pad, even unplugged, improved airflow enough to help me in my use case, and with it on it's as cool as can be. Fan noise is noticeable but not distracting. If you have bottom-firing speakers like me, you too may notice that sound can make its way out more freely and give you a bit more volume. The only thing I would change is I wish I could disable the light. Maybe you can and I just haven't found a control yet, but it just isn't a feature that appeals to me. It's fairly unobtrusive, though, even in a dark room. I don't have any idea how effective this would be with high-end, high-powered, discrete graphics workhorses under a load, but for me, it's perfect and a great value. ... show more

Super cooler, can turn fans on or off or high and low. Adjustable bed, up and down. A cell phone holder attachment. I really like it and recommend getting one if you have a lap top. I rate this 5+ stars.

This is the second cooling pad I have bought from this company. The first one developed a clicking sound from one of the fans that was very annoying. I bought a new one of a different design and it arrived damaged so had to send it back.the replacement worked for about 7 days and the top left fan stopped working. Of the six fans that could have stopped working it had to be one of the fans thats underneath the hottest part of my laptop so it definitely impacts the cooling abilities. ***UPDATE*** I felt I needed to update this review to reflect the outstanding customer service that I received. AICHESON reached out to me about my review and asked me what the problem was and offered a full refund. They did this from actively monitoring the reviews and not from me contacting them for a refund. I told them what the problem was and how I fixed it and asked for feedback on how to better improve the product. I have never received such good customer service by an Amazon seller.
