    • Incredibly effective cooling solution

This chill pad is one of the most effective pieces of technology I’ve ever experienced. I bought it because I have an Alienware X17 R2 laptop with a 3080ti. It’s a beast of a machine but I was seeing abysmal performance with it and I noticed my temps were insane at around 86 degrees Celsius or higher in a few moments of gaming playing Warzone in MW3. I play in 4k and I was getting stutters, frame drops, and barely saw over 70 frames due to the machine heat capping itself. My gameplay was choppy and I was trying to explore every avenue and solution I could find. Nothing worked. So, frustrated, I bought this on a whim after feeling fairly defeated by a really expensive laptop. I really didn’t think it was going to do anything for me. When I got it I hooked it all up (which is super easy to do), I played a few games and got it running really hot. I was seeing 86 degrees. I turned it on and cranked it up to 2800 rpm. I laughed out loud because it really is impressively loud. My wife (who was upstairs) asked me if I was flying a drone in my office. But I’m not playing games without a headset so it doesn’t bother me a bit in practical application. But then something crazy happened. With it blasting away at 2800rpm I saw my GPU temps drop (after about five minutes) to 60. That’s quite literally 25 degrees Celsius or more. I’ve even seen it get as low as 55 in moments which is absolutely outstanding. The fan might be a little expensive but man at least for me it took a laptop that I was impossibly frustrated with and turned it into the beast I knew it could be. Strong recommendation for me. In my specific situation it was outstanding. Just… you know, wear headphones if you care about footstep audio. And maybe close your office door so you don’t disturb the neighbors. ... show more

    • Overall It’s a good cooler

For reference I am running a Razer 18” (2023) rtx 4080 with intel I9 13950hx. Definitely produces a ton of heat when playing games and a lot of fan noise even without the cooler. Easily runs over 90C on the cpu and around 75C on the GPU. Initially when I put the cooler on and am running at 800 rpm temps are much better around 75C on the CPU AND 70C on the GPU. Maxing out the cooling pad at 2800 rpm doesn’t seem to make it much cooler. However running at 800 keeps my temps much better and the noise level down a lot. You must realize this is not really very quiet. Not something to use in public unless on the lowest 300 RPM. But if you’re just running in your own room by yourself with headphones on it’s not bad at all. Overall useful product. My only complaint is it is not really usable to run without headphones on anything above 500 rpm. The cooler itself works as intended. Not a huge fan of the RGB but this is the only one I could find that comfortably fit an 18” laptop. Which it fits perfectly. No hangover on the sides. I’ve only had the cooler for a few hours. If anything changes about product or breaks easily I will update my review to show that. ... show more

We got this as a gift for our daughter for Christmas, and she loves it. Keeps her laptop cool and the lights are beautiful and kinda hypnotic. The only thing I noticed, and it's not a complaint, but when I walk past her desk, it sounded like a jet engine when it first fired up. It's less noticeable now, guess we're used to the sound, but it's not overtly loud. Good value for the price. I might get myself one. ... show more

It's amazing for cooling my MSI gaming laptop. I was worried about my cpu overheating as MSIs run hot and with this fan no more worries. Of course there is noise, not an annoying noise though. You can adjust your fan speed, I never need to have it at full speed. What a difference in performance too with a cooler laptop and gaming. :) Very happy customer here. :) ... show more
