Background: I purchased this laptop cooler to help keep down the temps on my MacBook Pro. Whenever it wasn't frosty in the house, my aluminum wonder would regularly run warm, causing massive slowdowns, and the occasional soft reboot (screen freeze, followed by being kicked to the login screen). The Good: I appreciate that this laptop cooler is large enough to fit my laptop, but small enough that it doesn't monopolize the space on my desk. The fans are pretty quiet, and they do an admirable job helping the laptop to stay cool. The Bad: What keeps this nifty bit of kit from obtaining a perfect score is the inability to turn off or dim the lights. While I don't mind the lights so much when it's bright in the room, I do find them a bit distracting when the room is dark. It would be nice if this cooler had the option to disable the light, like others on Amazon. Conclusion: All in all, this is a very solid product, which performs very well. If you're not a gamer, or you're not into "LIGHT ALL THE THINGS!", there may be a little annoyance factor with this one. Or, you can do as one of the other reviewers suggested, and pull it apart to disable the lights. Yeah, they don't quite bother me *that* much. ... show more

I would find myself buying this again, It's impressively silent and preforms quite well, I could see this product lasting and being used very long time, though It does lack the option to turn the lights off while it's on, The laptop comes with a usb-A cable, though it is very short it would be completely fine to plug into a powered desk with the short cord. It's very comfortable to use since it keeps your hands and laptop cool while using, I find it very useful especially since you can adjust the height and essentially the angle at which the platform sits for your laptop. Overall: I would buy this item again as I find it to add aesthetic to my room and it does everything as advertised, it will keep your laptop cool and the fans are extremely silent, don't expect your laptop to be completely immune to heating up if you're getting this, it will keep your laptop around the temperatures of freezing to slightly warm rather than without it where you'd have a searing temperature under your laptop, very well worth the money. ... show more

Pros: Good airflow from fans Lifts the laptop off the table a bit to help with airflow Lights aren't too annoying at night Cons: Angle makes it necessary to use a connected keyboard or you'll get carpal tunnel quick Fans are not that quiet. Quite loud actually. They make noise outside of air flow, the bearings are probably not that nice. Honestly, for the money, this isn't a bad unit. I could probably build one using Noctua fans that was everything I wanted, but a single Noctua fan costs more than this so I can't necessarily knock it too much. ... show more

I got myself a vertical double clamp stand for my laptop with the intention to also clamp in a fan laptop base, and I was worried I would not be able to find one that would clamp properly to be used vertically standing, but this one worked great! I brought two of these. I initially brought one for my IPad Pro. I have started to take a lot of notes for work and noticed my iPad getting hot, so I tried one. It is a bit too large for the iPad, but does the job well. I especially like it has some sort of magnet which holds the iPad in place, and I don’t have to worry about it sliding off. I bought two laptop coolers, and this was the first one I bought. This keeps my laptop cool, and the noise level is very low. My laptop still kicks out a lot of hot air, but the bottom of my laptop stays cool, so I'm convinced it's helping. I'm very happy with it. The noise level is virtually non-existant. Frankly, my laptop's internal fans make more noise than this does. The only reason I went with another brand for my second purchase is because it had a couple more fans, and was on sale for a few dollars less.
