OE software setup involves multiple steps—recommended for users with prior OE experience or familiarity with OE workflows. Chrysler Activation Note: When activating Chrysler OE software, you will be prompted to enter an SN, this is the software's own SN (find it at: wiTECH2 → Help → About wiTECH2 → Serial Number), NOT your RLink device SN. Please disable all antivirus software before installing RLinkPlatform or OEM software to prevent false positives and incomplete driver installation. Important: Uninstall competing J2534 drivers first—our new AA-RLink registry prioritizes device recognition, but multiple J2534 drivers may cause registry conflicts. I really like this VIM so far. It's the shade tree mechanic's more affordable Mongoose. I work on Toyotas and it gets the job done with TechStream. I'm not sure I would reprogram an ECU with it, it is definitely capable of doing it but my worry would be if the flash went wrong Toyota probably would somehow know a non-approved VIM was used. The capability is there though for those brave enough. The newest model I've worked on with this is a 5th gen RAV but it's worked for me with older models too. ... show more

It replaced my snap-on scanner that became obsolete after 2023 I was looking at trading it in for a new $4k where bi-directional controls are locked behind a subscription like this tool but the subscription is a fraction of the cost and I've already used the tool dealer software pass on gm's acdelco site anything it can do out of box you can pay for dealer level ... show more

This made for a seamless program on a TCM. It was instantly recognized by GM tech connect and had zero issues through the whole process. Great build quality and intuitive software. Only issue I had was when trying to download R link software it would not complete, make sure you turn off your antivirus! I also had to turn off Norton “behavioral” virus detection even with the main Norton antivirus turned off. ... show more

I needed to reprogram a body control module on a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix to enable heated seats and remote start. This required a combination of SPS2 and Tech2Win through Techline Connect. I initially was between the TOPDON's Rlink and XTOOL's XTS500. I first purchased XTOOL's XTS500 since I've used their products before, and it was cheaper. Turns out it was the worst mistake I could have made. It was a week of headaches just trying to get it to work, and I ultimately decided to return it because it was a complete dud. At this point, I still needed to program the BCM, so I decided to buy TOPDON's Rlink. This product worked quite seamlessly. The software was straightforward and easy to use. I downloaded the necessary drivers, and everything just worked. SPS2 had no issues identifying and updating modules. Tech2Win was able to detect the Rlink with no problem. The best part is that the Rlink is powered through USB-C, so you can get everything set up before heading out to the car. As my only other exposure to pass-thru programmers was the XTOOL's XTS500, this was an amazing feature. Overall, if you need a reliable pass-through programmer for GM products, go ahead and purchase this. The entire experience is straightforward, and I have no complaints about this product. Instructions for connecting to Volvo VIDA software were not accurate but it worked great (once I changed the settings) and I was able to do all module updates. Probably could've found a cheaper dongle but I work on multiple brands and the Rlink works on all of them. Expensive but it was worth it for me. ... show more

This adapter worked out great. I have a GM vehicle and it works flawlessly with the GM software. I updated all of my modules that needed updated and did a few things with GDS2. Highly recommended.
