  • Great value, worked perfectly.
We used this on my 2009 JCW Mini Cooper. It worked as it should. It was small enough to get into a very tight space. It's also half the cost of the one at our local parts stores.

  • Worked great when AutoZone tool didn't
Worked great for my 2008 Volvo V70 inner tie rods when the tool I borrowed from AutoZone wasn't strong enough. This had barely enough room but just enough to break it loose. My breaker bar was doing some serious flexing and this held tight.

  • Worked excellent in a very tight space.
Worked so well in this tight space. I had to dremel off some of the U-bolt threads so I could position and clock the tool correctly. Also so it would rotate w/o hitting the body work. You can see that the space to access the inner tie rod on the drivers side was narrow, and access from above or below to get at the 23mm nut was impossible. Worked 1st time! Used a 6 inch extension and long breaker bar. Easy!!! Inner tie rods tool sets don't have 23mm nut sizes, I checked. ... show more

  • A 1 time use tool that works
The Good: This tool works and is great if working in a tight space where you can't get a wrench in. Depending on clearance situations, you may need to use a socket extension. However, the longer the extension, the more flex you'll introduce thus reducing the amount of torque you're effectively using. The Bad: This is pretty much a 1 time/job use tool. The teeth on this tool get damaged easily. The u-bolt also gets slightly bent during use making disassembly tricky (you risk damaging the u-bolt threads). That said, for a job you're probably only doing once during the vehicle's lifetime, $12 on a throwaway tool that works is worth it to me. ... show more

  • Not good, poor quality
Ok to start the problem with the tool it that the groves were not cut correctly thus the tool was smooth. And with this tool being smooth it would not grip the inner tie rod. Also the nuts were in poor shape, they would not stay tight. I will agree the price it cheap and that makes it attractive but its gambling if you get a good one then you're lucky . I on the other hand was not I had to return it and go to Auto Zone and get the exact same tool for a few bucks more. Now with that being said if the part you got is not smooth and it can grip it is a game changer simple to use makes removal fast you will need this tool and a long extension and braker bar. follow all safety rules and manufacturer specs and you will be fine. This tool for me and like others in the reviews is it was smooth and will not work need to have the grooves. ... show more

  • It’s alright

  • Definitely worth it.
I got this one and a different style, the other one would slip where this one got the job done! I recommend using a long extention and a 3/8 breaker bar instead of a normal ratchet. I ended up putting a cheater bar on the breaker bar to get it to bust loose!
