I needed to replace the inner tie rods on my truck. I decided to purchase a tool to allow me to do this instead of paying the Tire and Wheel shop. I have a number of ARES tools and I am not disappointed with them until now. This tool failed on the first application of force. Not only did the die snap into two pieces, but the end of the tube that transfers the force (pushes on the ears of the die), deformed. Let me just say that I am not Sasquatch. I am an older guy and can't do 20 push ups in a row. For the tool to break and deform, it must be pretty weak to begin with. Upon inspection I noticed that the dies are not forged metal, they were sintered. Sintered metal can produce strong parts but the rough texture shows a very large grain and that reduces the strength. All in all the price of this tool is very disproportionate to the quality. This is defiantly souring me to ARES brand tools.

Ok so it works SUPER good for smaller cars so far..... these pictures were on a sentra and I just used it on a infiniti and a nissan titan and it's this tool has work great for these jobs so far it hasn't broke or showing signs of bending...... tool pays for itself after one job.... even if it's for your car your saving so much more money doing it yourself than taking it to a shop! Good buy!

Hace como 1 año que he estado comprando herramientas de automoción de esta compañía y hasta ahora la relación calidad precio ha sido increíble! Pero llegó la excepción, esta herramienta es de muy mala calidad. La he usado dos veces y en la primera vez simplemente la llave de encaje se barrio. Cuando trate de darle vuelta se doblo y se safo. Y la segunda vez que la utilice, se notó que agarró bien pero la parte estaba bastante agarrada y al tratar de hacer más fuerza de la cuenta el encaje se rompió..y como dijo alguien por aquí..se nota que el material usado es de fabricación barata. No se ve de buena calidad. Dicho esto..no recomiendo esta herramienta para trabajos excesivos, solo si sabes que no vas a tener mucho problema para aflojar la parte. Repito. Es la primera vez que tengo problemas de calidad con esta empresa. Actualización: Hace tres dias me contactaron para ofrecerme una solución al enterarse de mi problema y llegamos a un acuerdo satisfactorio para mi reemplazando la herramienta por una nueva. Eso me deja tranquilo y con la confianza de comprar con seguridad más herramientas con ellos. Respecto a la atención al cliente les doy 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Terrible quality and materials. The crowfoot piece I was using snapped in half with not much force. The locking mechanism kept getting stuck in place, then eventually came off altogether when trying to loosen a tie rod. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
