I bought this bit September 22nd 2022 and the fact that I came back to write a review a year later his Testament that is held up long enough for me to be extremely happy with it. I was unsure what I was getting into and I was worried it would break at the quarter inch hex but it just drills right through everything so easily there's a lot less stress than I thought there would be there thing is still as sharp as the day I purchased it I don't use it everyday but I've used it quite a bit being an electrician I would 100% buy it again great product with long life! ... show more

Size: 3/16" - 7/8"
I had to enlarge a hole in a 1/2” thick piece of mild steel for a tractor ballast box. The hole needed to be 7/8” which is the largest step on this drill. It easily cut through as i oiled it to keep the drillbit cool and lubricated. It drilled both holes easily and did what i bought it for, so im more than happy. It’s still in great shape, im sure it’ll continue to thrive with proper lubrication. ... show more

Spent a lot of money at Ace hardware on bits to try to drill two wholes in some pretty thick steel. The bits were for hardened steel and did absolutely nothing. Ordered this from Amazon and it is a monster. Tore right through the steel within seconds. You will not be disappointed with this bit.
