Item as described. I only gave it four stars because I’ve used the bits only once and the one I used worked well.

    • For $24 bucks you need this step drill set.
Size: Gold 5pcs
I have found it to be such a pain to expand a smaller hole to a bigger one. Step drills just make it so much easier w/o boogering up the hole. Now mine are pretty new and I have only used them 3 times., so I don't really know yet if they will hold up well. The description says "titanium coating", but really no way to know for sure. First drill out was a stainless steel washer that was right OD, but I needed a bigger hole. Made the cut with no problem. Did remove the gold "titanium coating" at the step up to the bigger hole, but didn't seem to damage the bit. Frankly a 5 bit set, with a counter punch for $24, in a really nice padded carry box is a good deal, even if they wear out faster. • Drill bits look okay, garbage packaging
Size: Gold 5pcs
The 5-piece step drill bit set appears promising for my upcoming project of installing solar panels on my RV roof. The bits themselves look sturdy and well-made, giving the impression that they will work effectively for drilling through various materials. Their design suggests versatility, which is crucial for a project like mine that involves multiple layers. However, the packaging left much to be desired. It was among the cheapest and flimsiest I've encountered, and frankly, it felt like utter garbage. Despite this, considering the main purpose is the performance of the drill bits, the subpar packaging may not be a deal-breaker. As long as the bits deliver on their functionality, I can overlook the packaging's shortcomings. Time will tell how well they perform, but initial impressions indicate they should serve their purpose for the intended solar panel installation on my RV roof. ... show more
