I got this coat for my husband who is 85 and still out there every day working in sales. He gets cold very easily so I wanted something to keep him really warm. He loves this coat. He says it's very warm and has lots of pockets for his essentials. The only negative about this coat for us is that the hood is not removable. Other than that, it's a great coat. Very warm and the length is a bit longer than some of his other coats and parkas which is a plus. Highly recommend this coat if you are looking for something that will keep you warm when the temps dips into the single digits to the 30's. Went tubing at camel back mountain amd it wasvwind proof a d kept me warm zedswith plenty of pocket space. Hood is EXTRA large and covers whole head and and then some perfect amount of fur to keep wind out and off of face the only problem is the it's sizing is off i ordered a xxl because i wanted to be able to laying a sweater under a hoodie but its a little snug. This is a heavy coat. Very warm. I love the button style. The zipper is also made with great quality. When I put the hood on, it felt my head was snug into it. Best of all, great price, $108 plus tax!

Update* 12/13 first day of serious cold in NYC....literally feel nothing. Exceptionally warm, almost started sweating during my 10 minute walk from the car to the office. You will not be disappointed. Still can't believe this kind of quality was <$130. Used to paying $250+ for North Face and such. Never again. As many people have already mentioned, it definitely runs big. Not massive, but respectably big. I'm 6'3, 225 lbs, with a modestly athletic build, decent sized shoulders and long basketball player arms (formerly a tall skinny dude-who gained weight after turning mid 20 something's, just so you understand my body size). I wear size large for fitted looks and extra large for comfortable fits in my day to day life, including my jackets. This coat's size "Large" Fits precisely as what i'd like an X-Large to fit. For my size, the size large is literally at the very cusp that borders between "damn,nice jacket, nice fit!" and "damn, nice jacket, nice big coat!" Again, if you're not a massively rotund person, order a size down from your usual for the best fit possible. I would say that the fit and look of the coat slightly exacerbates your size; it definitely makes you look "full" without adding tons of coat fluff. Has good stature but doesn't overfluff and make you look unkempt. The fit is nice, arms are perfect, and it's definitely warmer than you would think. High quality materials, zipper, and buttons. It's definitely a well thought out coat- There's a button on the bottom below the zipper to keep out the draft, and it zips high into the throat/chin if you don't wear scarfs.The hood, in my opinion, is comfortably snug even all the way up, as to not make you look like a snow creature. Faux Fur is a nice touch but a little itchy on the ear atleast for me. Overall, happy with the purchase, bang for buck is outstanding. I don't know if the jacket will last me long time, but so far it's been fantastic. I got the tri color version and I am very satisfied with the purchase so far. Very comfortable unlike my other Canadian parka, and very warm. For the temps between 30-40, you could easily get away with just wearing a t-shirt under. For the temps below 30, a light sweater or a long sleeve will do just fine. I got size Medium and it's perfect for someone like me who is somewhat in between S and M. P.S. after 2.5 years of wearing the coat it was time for a new one, bought exact one. It's a good coat, they only reason why I decided to buy new one again is because mine got very dirty.     • One of my better winter jacket purchases.
Just got this today and I love this coat. Well made. Lots of pockets...2 front with flaps and snaps...2 slit on the side under those...and 2 slit on the side in the chest area. Plus a very large and deep pocket on the inside left of the jacket It was 18 degrees out today and I wore the coat to the store with only a tee underneath. This coat is incredibly warm. I think the fur is faux fur, regardless, I removed it because it's not my thing. Also, and maybe it's me, but it felt oily. I noticed our cats eyeing it so I had to get it out of their sight. I'm sure they were thinking, aha a fool of a squirrel finally got in the house. Bring it on squirrel! Before ordering this coat I had ordered and received a North Face Jacket. They sent one which was 2 sizes too small and I sent it back, Meanwhile taking another look at the Tommy Hilfiger which had more pockets (a big factor with me) AND it waw $100 cheaper. I'm glad I did because I feel the Hilfiger is of equal, if not better workmanship and of couse, there's that $100 saved. ... show more
