Stay away from this you own a German car and should know better than to put Chinese parts in it. My son wanted this radio and I was not sure about it. We got it and it worked ok for 25 days then the red button lights would not work sometimes. then after 45 day the screen went white. its still payed music but the screen was dead. Luckily amazon stepped up and helped out eventhough it was past 30 days. We got another one and theat one arrived with the screen purple where it should be white and the volume knob would not change the volume. it would jump up and then back to where it started or go down then back up to where it started. I did not trust them to try a third time.

Unit worked well for 1 year. Unit never worked with wired connection. Bluetooth worked for 1 year. I no longer have CarPlay or the ability to play music from my phone. Do not recommend this product.

Head unit was (relatively) easy to install, provided you can pop a bezel off and tighten four screws; I had to wire my head unit to the fuse box to prevent battery drain, but they give you everything you need to do that, including the adapter to tap into, and I just ran it under my steering wheel dash into the back of the unit, took about 5 mins. However, carplay ALWAYS keeps pausing, up to several times a minute. Due to this I have chosen to return it and go with a genuine RCD330.

Hello, the stereo is not working good. I paid $300 installation fee at the mechanic for no freaking reason the CarPlay is disconnecting every time it’s going from CarPlay to FM every time I’m not happy with you guys I spent so much money for no reason I left review now I will report this to Amazon and also I will post it and YouTube whatever I bought it from so people doesn’t buy it. Thank you.

Cons: Carplay does not work as advertised. keeps disconnecting all the time. The radios goes on mute all the time you have to keep setting the volume up. AM radio frequency does not work on US is only for ASIA market and frequencies. Pros: Install is easy and is the right size and perfect shape for VW.

Actual Install of the unit is easy enough although I did snap some of the paneling trying to remove the face cover. While thats not their fault im still upset because I will end up in a worse situation after trying this product than if I had not. The unit is super buggy, You will be able to get it installed and it will appear to work but will start to glitch as soon as you use it. The unit randomly shuts off in both wired connection and wireless. Calls work maybe 1 in 10 times but usually cannot transfer audio. You have to repeatedly turn on and off the unit and attempt your call to get audio to go through. The google maps feature does work but like I said above the unit often glitches and will randomly turn off every other drive. Overall even with the problems the unit is slightly better than what I had before but certainly not for $400+. Sadly it will be going back and my time spent installing is wasted.

The product fit well, I have a RCD330 and was going to upgrade to the wireless CarPlay, the head unit didn’t work with the fender sound system like the old one, stayed constantly turned on, would not reset. I think it’s more programming issue than anything but their old RCD330 still works like a charm wish this worked I would have liked the wireless carplay
