This coat really IS as shiny (or more) as it appears on the Amazon page. It's also warm, and the fur-trimmed* hood is detachable (for convenience and, in my granddaughter's case, amusement). This was a great hit as a holiday gift even though it obviously wasn't a toy, an electronic device, or make-up. *No animal was harmed in the making of the trim.

Bright color, warm, soft plush interior, hood zips off & additionally the fur is removable for washing! Sleves have cuffs to keep cold / snow out. I love it, her mother loves it, & my granddaughter LOVED it! Its a nice coat well constructed & i will purchase again! Worth the cost. I bought an 8- she is an 8, very thin skinny tall girl, fit perfectly. If you have a child that’s normal & wider or wears more layers … u might want to check chart & size up.

Bought this coat for my 11 year old daughter who is 5ft 2 and it fit pretty well. Coat had a strange fishy smell when we received it but I wiped it down with a Lysol lemon antibacterial wipe and the smell was gone in a day or so. Seems to keep her warm and she likes that the hood unzips and can be removed. Overall nice looking coat that’s warm for under a hundred dollars.

So cute and warm. I like the added style of cinching at the waist for girls, so it looks less boxy. My daughter absolutely loves this coat-she tells me daily! She loves the white, and loves the fleece on the inside. That was a must for her. Wish they had in red for my other daughter! My daughter wears a 7/8 and we got the 8 for a perfect fit, but a little oversized to wear next winter.

The coat is not as thick as the advertised picture! Although it had a "faux fur" lined insulated interior. The outside looks plastic not, shiny! When we opened the plastic bag it was sent in, there was a very strong, fishy odor!!
