  • I LOVE this ukulele!
Color: Pink
I absolutely LOVE this ukulele!! I am an elementary music teacher and use this uke all day every day. It is very durable, sounds lovely, and comes with lots of extra goodies. It’s easy to tune, I do notice it goes out of tune fairly quickly, but it’s not a huge problem for me. It’s also super cute and my students love that it’s pink! It has been dropped by students here and there and it’s held up quite nicely. I would 1000% buy this again if I ever need another one. Great price for the uke and all the extras. ... show more

  • Great weather resistant composite uke for outdoors or in.
Color: Pink
Bought this b/c our ukulele group played for the Koman 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk in the rain & I wanted a mostly waterproof instrument. And it was PINK for the occasion. Plays nice, sounds good, looks nice, nice strap and case. VERY happy with this uke.

  • A solid choice for a polycarbonate concert ukulele, especially if you prefer a warmer tone.
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. The attached video review (about 4' 30") will cover most of this written review. This instrument was obtained purposely for review purposes. This is not a fake review, and both covers the positives and negatives of this instrument. This is a concert ukulele (15" scale length) made of polycarbonate with some carbon fiber reinforcement. A true carbon fiber ukulele would be over $1000--but players new to the world of the ukulele may not be aware of this. The instrument is a good value (around $85 when it was obtained) particularly with the consideration of the cost of the instrument AND its gig bag. The sound is warm; a little on the plastic side; not as bright as some other polycarbonate ukuleles on the market. Some players prefer this sound. The action was a bit on the high side of my preference; which I was able to adjust by filing the nut with a nut file--but if you choose to do so, be careful as you could ruin the ukulele and make it unplayable. It has a wider than usual nut (36mm), but string spacing is tighter than usual on a 35mm nut...so that tight spacing may take some getting used to, and may not be appreciated by players with large hands. The kit is of mixed value to a player; the ukulele comes with one strap button (should include two, and I added another...again, if you do so, be careful. These modifications can void any ability to return the instrument). In addition to including the best gig bag in this class of polycarbonate ukuleles, it includes a second set of strings (this is good), a decent method book with supporting videos, created by a actual music educator (overdubbed in English, but they will still work for a beginning player), but also some less useful accessories such as a guitar/ukulele capo that I would not use (just too big; I would prefer a ukulele specific capo if I were to use a capo), plastic picks (most ukulele players will use a leather or felt pick...however a plastic pick will not hurt this ukulele), and a strap that is a soundhole clip strap (an odd choice when the strap button is on the ukulele). Still, the instrument itself is a real instrument with a real gig bag--and absolutely worth the purchase. A couple of other thoughts: the rosette popped off when I attached the strap; I had to glue the rosette in place. The instrument does not have side position markers, which limits ukuleles I review on my YouTube channels to a lower score. I added side position markers, so it CAN be done, but again you run the risk of ruining the instrument--so be careful. If you are looking for a weather resistant instrument in the concert scale, and if you like a warmer tone to your ukulele, this is going to be a great choice. I would compare the tone to the Populele 2, as well as the Lava U; and both of those instruments are more expensive. The company has indicated that future versions of these models will address some of the issues I have commented on--and this is the summer of 2025; it may be a little while before updated models are available. I give this 4/5 stars here on Amazon, as Amazon doesn't have my usual score limitation based on the lack of side position markers. ... show more

A beautiful sounding 23" Carbon Fiber Ukulele. A couple of strings had to be replaced but the tuning is great. The sound quality is excellent. It's built solid.

  • Last forever; costs nothing, sounds awesome
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. If you are a music educator, professional, student, or just want to try this ukulele. You should- carbon composite instruments at this price are usually overbuilt and too heavy to emit any useful time.- this one does not. This would last several years in a music program or school. Composite instruments have arrived- I love this little innovative instrument. ... show more

  • Sounds good, very resilient, fun instrument.
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. The Tom Carbon Fiber Concert Ukulele I like the sound of this instrument. It has a resonant, rounded tone. It doesn’t sound like a wooden ukulele, and in fact sounds better than some laminate wooden instruments I have played in the past. This is offset slightly by the action, meaning the height of the strings above the fretboard. It’s too high at the nut (the slotted piece between the fretboard and tuners), which means some chords (I’m looking at you, Bb) are more difficult to fret, and in general makes the instrument harder to play in tune. I’ve bought many more highly-priced ukuleles with high action, and this can be – and in this case, will be – fixed by filing down the slots in the nut. That’s a little tricky with this instrument, as the nut is an integral part of it, so if that operation doesn’t go well, the patient is then beyond help. On a more standard uke, the nut is separable and can simply be replaced. I’ve taken a star for this. If you listen to video I’ve attached, though, you’ll hear that it isn’t that awfully out of tune even without modification. And this is a great instrument for travel, for being outdoors. Good for younger kids and clumsy people, too. Getting bumped (even hard) wet, hot, or cold won’t damage it, and once the strings stop stretching, it stays in tune under conditions that would cause a wooden ukulele to stray off-pitch. You might not want to solo with an orchestra on this uke out of the box but playing it at a beach bonfire will go well. I have the black one, and personally I think this ukulele looks sharp. It’s not trying to pretend its wood – with that chrome rosette, it leans proudly into what it is. It comes in black, pink and white. I think it would be even cooler if there were a few more colors available, but it loses no points for this. I like the concert size. Sopranos are fun, but I like to finger-pick and play all of the way up the neck, and that’s easier on a concert. It comes with a very nice padded gig bag, a snap-on strap, capo, extra strings, a microfiber cleaning cloth, a few picks, an introduction to playing ukulele -- which is a pretty nice bundle. I think they should include a tuner for beginners, but you can get a phone app that does that or buy a clip-on tuner. ... show more
