Bought for very low-energy/trauma wildlife research (grassland tortoises within enclosure). IPhone6s won't sense the Tile within 25' with direct line of sight, not within 10' if there's a bush, skinny tree or chair in the way. To press the "find phone" button and my phone rings, but the phone can't find the Tile when I'm basically standing over it... so not particularly useful. Advise? Let's see if it lasts through a rainy day... PS: the glue didn't last 100hours, either. Let's see if the battery's actually good for 3years, particularly once you actually power it on. Update: Battery didn't last 3months. TILE customer support has been good, but the reality is the device is a gimmick and not fit for any use erring towards "serious" so save your money. It did make 100' with an update, but still only with perfect line-of-site. The signal still won't go around a potted-plant and the glue is... not special, so if your Sticker falls off behind said plant then you're out of luck. If you can find it you should expect to re-glue, maybe with an epoxy putty. I've now either burned-out or lost both from the packet in short-months, if not weeks. Tile has sent me one replacement (no two), but I'm not impressed and not hopeful. I'd prefer to have the money back... ... show more

TLDR: Tile sticky good, very durable and water/weather/cat proof. Don't worry, it will stick and stay on your remote. 😉 (March 6, 2020) Update: The day has finally come and the Tile has met its match after 10 months of hard core outdoor Kitty adventures included but not limited to: daily treks around the neighborhood whether it be rain, sun or snow, rolling on asphalt, dirt, ice and grass, worming his way through a wide variety of bushes and trees, hopping fences and chasing birds like the bad A cat he is, and squeezing into all sorts of unimaginable nooks and crannies. For reference Kitty's neighborhood strolls are anywhere from 2-7 miles a day depending on the weather and he loses it maybe once or twice a month since it's a breakaway collar. Safety first ya know? Occasionally we also use the Tile to corral him back in at night; even with a flashlight on his collar GPS, he can be tricky to spot when he doesn't want to be found. So we use the Tile maybe 5-10 times a month. Strangely enough, it was found stuck to the wooden fence in our backyard with the collar laying about 5 yards away. Not exactly sure what happened but props to the worn down adhesive actually sticking to the rough wooden fence. Battery seems to be holding out fine as well. Overall, I can't express how many times this little thing has saved the day. There have been numerous occasions we never would have found Kitty's collar, even with the Whistle GPS. Not to mention it has outlived multiple collars, tags and bells for our beloved little adventurer! Until they include a beeper on some of the most popular pet GPS brands, Tile will have my loyalty as a customer so my little guy can do what he loves without me stressing out about his expensive accessories and bling. ----‐-‐---------------- (September 6, 2020) Update: 5 months of hard-core, off road kitty action and its still stuck on there. I gotta say I'm impressed and its saved me hours of collar hunting. Honestly there's been a few times I wouldn't have found it without the tile on there (like way under decks and trees where the Whistle gps signal doesn't reach). Definitely water proof, dust proof and tough as heck so far, as my cat is one crazy and dirt loving fella, who likes to play in light rain and wet grass. The whole find my phone aspect doesn't seem to work well-but that doesn't make it a deal breaker for me personally. ----‐-‐---------------- As of May 10th, 2020 I stuck the sticker on my cat's Whistle GPS tracker, I'll update it when/if at all it falls off or the battery dies. He likes to lose his collar in other people's yards and its hard to pinpoint exactly which bush or on what side of the fence he hid it on, so hopefully the beep will come in handy. He is pretty rough on his collars and its attachments so I'm curious to see just how durable this thing is. Beyond easy to set up, very glad that it doesn't have the separation alarm like most Bluetooth trackers do. Was also a pleasant surprise to learn it has multiple different rings you can set it to. We used these in Disney World on our kids shoes. Not the intended purpose but we wanted a little extra security of knowing where they were at all times. It works. Really well actually. I could pull it up and see exactly where my kid was standing or if our groups got seperated it could find eachother easily. So while this is not something they say it works for. It does. *You have to download the Tile app to your phone* I have two turtles and they stay inside during the cold season. When the weather turns to the warm season they get to go live outside in their summer home that I love preparing for them. I'm so afraid of losing them even though their habitat is enclosed that I need a locator just for my own peace of mind. So I will be trying the Tile trackers and they WILL get fully tested (in the dirt, water, wherever the turtles go and we will see if these Tiles can last). I have wrapped the turtles in kt wrap (Amazon link below) to help keep the tiles secure. This is the best thing for someone who loses a lot of their things. I lose my juul all the time so I got it for that and I also lose my phone a lot. You can use it to find your phone too which is super coinvent. The adhesive is pretty good too, I take my juul with me everywhere and just throw it into my purse which is an endless void of random items thrashing around. The app is easy and you can change the tune it plays when you're looking for it. The app has a "hot/cold" system so it'll show if you're getting closer or further away from the tile. However, the sound can be muffled. My fat cat was laying on it and I couldn't hear it but still, well worth the buy. ... show more
