Yesterday I was stung by 2 yellow jackets. I am very sensitive to them and the last 2 times I was stung my hand swelled to twice its normal size for days and required a trip to the doctor's office for a steroid injection. Yesterday after using the device I had no swelling of my hand and only localized swelling of the sting on my leg. This morning saw a slightly larger swelling with rash on my leg (still a lot better than I would have expected otherwise) and still no swelling of my hand. The sting on my hand was itchy but a little antihistamine handled that. So grateful that this innovation has kept me out of the doctor's office this time around. I would have given 5 stars if I could tell a distinct difference every time, but there have been some honeybee stings (to which I am not as sensitive to as the yellow jackets) that I wasn't sure there was much reduction in the normal, localized reaction. Product also seems to be a little less effective on softer, fleshier areas. All in all though, better than nothing and very glad that I have it on hand. ... show more

    • No suction cup for fingers
Okay unless you need to use for bee sting on your finger - then there is no suction cup small enough to work on a finger— so you’re out of luck. Other venom extractor kits have a suction cup small enough for fingers so I ended up having to purchase an additional extractor kit. So I would not purchase this kit again unless they improve it to include a smaller suction cup. ... show more

Very easy kit to use, straight forward and would not be hard to use in an emergency at all. I bought two to have one at home and one in my truck. even comes with a little CPR mask. Compact and much smaller than the picture portrayed. It looks like it will work. My SiL almost died from asnake bite. This would have pulled a lot of the venom from the bite.
