It turns out that if you lose your cellphone you can ring it with your Tile. We’ve both used them each way at least once. You do have to be within Bluetooth range, it doesn’t track via GPS. For the price you can get a couple of these, I’d say it’s worth every penny. They’ve saved us a lot of frustration! I’d highly recommend them. We received a Tile at a trade show and it worked so well that we were decided to purchase three more for our next key sets. After a year of use, we were so happy with them, we have started giving them out as gifts. The only issue is the cost of purchasing one and the poorly written instuctions that go with it. If you buy a set of 4, you will save a lot of money. This is a great product to help locate items! Using it in laptop backpack but can be used on keys or anything else you desire! Creates a beeping sound when trying to locate it. You can also use the tile to locate your phone. The Tile Pro is the way to go because it has replaceable batteries so you aren't just throwing them out once they die! App works well and was easy to set up. They aren't as good as Apple's Airtags because they don't show constant GPS locations so I wouldn't use them in luggage. I'm not sure how durable a device this is, it seems a bit flimsy, but if it fails after less than a year I think I still got my money's worth. It's helped me keep track of my phone and my keys - if I misplace either one, I trigger it from the other, either the app on my phone or the button on the tile on my keychain. To get the most from it you should pair it with a smartphone on an active contract, leave Bluetooth on and battery saver off. If the phone isn't on contract you'll still get some functionality, or you can get extra features from Tile if you sign up, but it's pretty useful right out of the box. ... show more

Going on an extended international trip, I wanted to ease my partner's concerns by having a means of being tracked wherever I may be. So, I promised to wear a tile at all times. My partner can view my location via the Tile app. It was worth being able to provide some peace of mind. I have three more additional tiles. They are attached via velco to my Passport cover and hooked onto my backpack and luggage. The luggage tile is attached to my wallet once I arrive at my destination.
