I bought this because I was mainly looking for a square-ish fire pit so I can easily put a way on a shelf during the hot season when we are not using it. This fire pit simply exceeded my expectations. 1) The metal construction quality feels solid, and the weight of it is just right... heavy enough but not too much so. 2) The bottom ashtray is awesome. It makes cleaning much easier. 3) The cover that comes with the pit is such a great bonus. I put it over it every time I am done using it, when it's not hot, and when all the ambers are extinguished, of course... This will protect the pit from the elements for many years. The fabric feels thick and of good quality. It even appears to be rain-proof. 4) I do recommend that you shell out the extra $100 for the spark guard/lid and the poker set. I know... this is no small amount of extra money to invest in the set up, but the quality of it will satiate your initial reluctance.... You'll definitely feel it's money well spent. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Wow. This is one impressive little firepit. Right off the bat, it's very HEAVY for it's size. I like to think that's a good thing, nice solid construction. But that doesn't stop it from putting out heat. My purchase came with a bag of Tiki brand pellets. They say throw the bag in the fire pit and light it and that's all you need to do. The video is the result of that. That roaring fire continued for a solid half hour. The best thing with this fire pit is that you can also burn standard logs in it. It still stays fairly smokeless even when burning logs, but mind you that's only after you get the fire going. It comes with a very nice snug cover too! My biggest critique here though would have to be the lack of a lid for the firepit. Now, Tiki does sell a wire lid type thing, sure, but honestly I would love to see a solid lid that you just drop into place when you're all done so that if it's raining or something, you're not going to rust through your nice Tiki firepit because it's too hot to move or throw the cover on it. ... show more

...I would have given it 5 stars! Even if there were one available for purchase separately, that would even be good. My husband would just feel better knowing the fire is completely out, or at least contained, before leaving it. Other than that, this fire pit burns bright and warm but with minimal smoke. Love the size and shape of it. Especially love the "ashes drawer" for easy disposal afterward. Great value for the price, IMO, and I expect this will last us quite a few years. But when it's finally time to replace it, I would purchase again from Tiki brand and would recommend this one to family/friends right now. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I can’t afford the better known brand name of smokeless fire pit and by description this one looked perfect for the price. I’m pleasantly surprised!! While I thought it would be a bit small, the heat output is so good I had to move back. I used it in my backyard and had minimal smoke to deal with. It is heavy but easy to assemble. The cover fits well but does collect water in the center when it rains. As noted by others, I wish it had a lid to cut the airflow to both ensure it’s extinguished and to make it a flat top under the cover (fixing the water problem). I will make a wood top to fit the opening to make it an outdoor coffee table when the fire pit isn’t in use. In included pellets but fast, high and hot but wood is lower and slower. ... show more
