I'm loving this lawn mower. Cuts grass amazingly well and is so easy to use. I had a riding lawnmower for my rural house and 3 acre yard. I moved into town and this mower is much better for my 1/2 acre yard. You don't need gas! Or a gas can! Or to drive to the gas station! Or smell like the gas you spill after mowing. By the time I would have got my riding lawnmower filled with gas I'm already done with this push mower from TIECTYYOWN. It is also so easy to push as it is so light. I mow the back yard, grab the handle and carry it right through the house, and mow the front yard on one charge. It takes me about 20 minutes! That's fast! Without gas and maintenance this unbelievable push mower will pay for itself! My kids are autistic and the riding lawnmower was too loud. Now my son walks around with me while I mow the yard. I bought htis Tiectown eklectric dethacher & scarifier this fall 2025 and used it on my entire lawn, which is about 4000 SF. I knew to watch the extension cord, but sure enough I hit it once and my 100' cord is history. My bad, I was much more careful after buying another cord. A 12 gage 50' ext cord is recommended and great and I found that sufficient when using various outlets, $33 @ H.D. or here. If you use a 100 footer, make sure it's at least 12 gage. If you only have a 14 gage 100' cord you could go against the recomendations and use it, but hold it occasionally near the outlet and the machine to check if it's overheating, if it does use a heavier gage extension cord. SUPER-HELPFUL TIP: I found using 2" blue painters tape to secure the cord to the cord holder a great idea. The machine only has a 2-outlet plug (no grounded outlet) as the manual says it is internally grounded. I had good luck with it and my yard is dethached (of mainly weeds) and perfectly scarified with 3-variety lawn clover seeds already in and sprouting along with bluebomnnet and wildflowers, for fast spring growth. I can't wait to see the results, and plan tyo fix nitrogen like this for at least a couple years, perhaps never growing grasses again, or Buffalo Grass. THE BAG: Yes as many have pointed out here in reviews, the grass-catcher bag is fairly worthless, and that is the only way it could be! After all, it's a lightweight machine, and how could anyone expect to carry around a cotton-bale sized bag of grass and weeds behind it? There is simply too much old grass and weeds in most yards to do that, Big Deal. Simply rake the grass up! I found using a leaf-blower to make scattered piles first helpful. It only took me and a yard guy I have 4 hours to do my entire country yard, going N to S then E to W; I sprained my knee or would've done it all myself. ASSEMBLY: I can hardly believe the reviewers here that downgrade it for being "hard to assemble". It surely helps to read the directioons first, but they were not in Chinglish and I had it done in my living room in about 30 minutes. Yeah they say assemble where you're going to use it; simply raise the blade to the super-high transport position and lift it up on the big front wheels if you have a step to get it over, no biggie. MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY: Two years, way better than the el-cheap-o 1 year or 90 day you often geet nowadays. I didn't bother to buy an extended warranty, I have a drawer full and have yet to use one. OVERALL: I really like this machine and am glad I bought it. Don't EVEN buy a battery-powered one, this kind of heavy-duty work takes a full 110 Volt /20 Amp curcuit unless you love constant frustration. Having someone there to watch the extension cord and move it around for you helps a lot. I LOVE not having to fiddle with old gas and fouled-out spark plugs on clogged 2 cycle engines that won't start. I'm a comparison shopper and really went back-and-forth with which one to purchase and where, looked at several local ones at the big-box stores (much higher prices) and this was a real buy at one hundred fifty bucks (Oct 2025). If it increases in price even by up to 100 bucks it's still a good choice, especially as the motor is rated at 15.5 amps and the working area is a bit wider than most at 16". I couldn't beat that, and I'm sure not going to pay hundreds of dollars to have it done once when I can own the lightweight machine myself. BTW, it comes with a nifty hanger and the machine folds up so you can hang it out of the way in the garage. I know it looks like mainly plastic, but it's actually pretty rugged and the blade sare steel. I plan on using it in a few more places as I get Texas Bluebonnets going evrywhere. Recommended.

Used this dethatcher to help reseed my yard. Collects a lot of thatch and left a nice bed for new seed. Subtracted a star sue to motor overheating. I just let it cool off for 10 minutes and got back at it. Kind of annoying but oh well. It did when I needed it to do.

I would never purchase this brand or item, the mower barely holds a charge, after two uses, the mower doesn’t hold a charge long enough to mow one passage. I’m so frustrated with this purchase. Lessons learned, you get what you pay for.

I have a greenworks 14" 13 amp dethatcher/scarifier and thought I would upgrade, wider deck and 15.5 amp motor. I do some light commercial work as a side job doing lawncare and 1 of my more popular services is scarifying/dethatching. I thought it would also important to have the back up machine, so the idea was to keep the greenworks machine in reserve. After using it on 3 different properties I can say that in terms of the dethatching attachment, it's very effective. The 15.5 amp motor spins the tines faster then my greenworks model and does an excellent job dethatching. However the 16" is false advertising. I compared the cartridges on both models and they are the exact same size....sure the deck is wider, but the cartridges are the exact same size. So the actual work done on the job is no different. Next the scarifier attachment blades on this is a different design then my greenworks and not as effective. Extremely disappointed in the scarifying ability of this machine. From here on out I'll use my greenworks machine if the customer want's scarifying and this machine if they want dethatching. I would say, if you don't have a machine, this isn't a bad machine, but all around the Greenworks machine is better. Much better scarifier and only marginally worse at dethatching. The actual work done is the same, this model only has a wider looking deck. Plus the greenworks model is cheaper.
