    • Better than Expected!
Shipping was very fast! The box is heavy! The components seem to be very good quality. Assembly takes some time (but I expected this -- and I'm not very handy nor fast). But it was pretty simple to figure out (there is an arrow on the bottom of the seat pointing towards the front for the reviewer complaining it was difficult to figure out). The base is a nice metal (I would have preferred a one-piece, solid metal rather than having to completely assemble the base) that seems sturdy. I replaced the casters with rollerblade style found inexpensively on Amazon (I feel like these are better for my hardwood floors). The chair glides across my floor seemingly effortlessly. The seat seems wider than normal, which I prefer (and I'm not all that big). It is a reasonably thick foam (vs. mesh, which I've got nothing against) and is very comfortable. The arms go up and down, in and out, and forward and backward. I suppose the only thing missing is tilting -- but I would never use that anyway. At any rate, the arms probably do more than I need. I don't know that you can call this dynamic lumbar support. What I do know is that the lumbar support fits me wonderfully and provides just the right support for my body. And the mesh back feels very comfortable and provides the right support. The head/neck support is easy to adjust. It may not be X-chair quality but for about a tenth of the price what do you expect? I'm able to comfortably rock yet can sit comfortably in a stable position as well. I've seen prices all over the board for this chair. I bought during a surprise flash sale = around $170. I'm glad I waited as I was considering much more expensive chairs. Overall, while I just received this chair, it seems like an excellent chair at an excellent price, offers wonderfully ergonomic fit, and is an excellent value! ... show more

I love this chair, my cat steals it, my wife steals it, my friends steal it. It’s very comfortable, I can work at my desk for many hours or game. You can adjust it easily to you. This chair was designed by legends. First off it's from China. When you think of products made in China you think cheap, quick, cash grabs. This product breaks that stereotype. It's simply well made, great quality, and comfortable (for the most part). For the price it's absolutely fantastic. It does most things those super expensive chairs do. I bought one to check it out but will be buying to more. One for my brother and another for my uncle. Instructions are well written and easily understood. It takes some time to build. But I had fun the entire time. It was like building a Lego set. I was never confused. Always knew exactly what I was doing thanks to the clear directions. These guys obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the product. Here we go. Now we talk about the comfort. The head rest is perfect. You can orient it into many different ways completely customizable. The backrest is also absolutely perfect. You can adjust the lumbar support. And the mesh back creates an absolute stunning support. It also keeps your back from heating up. Because of the air flow. My biggest qualm about this chair is the seat cushion. It is not the most comfortable. But it's still solid. Your butt will hurt if you sit on this chair for a long time. But you're not supposed to do that in the first place. You're supposed to get up and walk every 30 min. It would be awesome if they could add some kind of memory foam. But I understand that could inflate the price. So if you need a chair that's good and you never want to have to buy one again.     • Buyer Beware--Uncomfortable Chair, Unhelpful Customer Service
Update--after writing the review below, I contacted Amazon to file a complaint about Ticova. Amazon issued a full refund and apologized. Ticova sent me an email about my review and offered me a $100 refund if I removed it. They told me that my review hurt their business and meant that their employees could not feed their families. I reported the email to Amazon. I have never dealt with such an unethical company before and I am grateful that Amazon took care of the issue for me. After researching ergonomic chairs, I purchased this one, hoping to reduce back pain from sitting. However, the chair caused me back pain almost immediately. The seat is far too firm, but seats often are for me, so I added a cushion. I tried two cushions and the seat is still too firm. The back of the chair is uncomfortable and hurts my upper back. I have unlocked it so that I can lean back, added a cushion and then a pillow, and removed the headrest. It is impossible for me to get comfortable in this chair. It is painful to sit in and the pain continues after I get up. The insert with the chair asks customers to contact customer service before returning the chair, so I did. They initially offered me $30 to reimburse me for the memory foam cushion that I bought. When I replied that I was uncomfortable with a cushion, they offered me a $50 refund if I could keep the chair. The customer service representative was friendly and tried to help, but the chair is just not designed well, especially for an ergonomic chair. The customer service representative said that they let the quality control team know so that they could work on these issues in the future. I certainly hope that they do. If I could disassemble the chair, I would return it. Removing the gas lift looked tricky to me and I worried that I would damage the chair during disassembly, not to mention trying to fit it into the box to return. The assembly was fairly easy (inserting the wheels was the most challenging part for me) and I liked the features that the chair has. It may be a better chair for someone of a different size; I am petite and it may be that the ergonomics are off for my body type. However, based on some of the other reviews that I have seen, I suspect the chair is just not well-designed. ... show more
