I'm fairly new to buying coffee from Amazon, but have found that the wide array of different types of coffee available can be a bit daunting for newbies. Still, trying different styles of roasting and beans from different global locations is an adventure I can take without leaving the house. I have just poured this bag of joy into my coffee keeper and the coffee is very full of delightful smells. Later I will make a pot of pour over to test it out properly, but the fragrant smell is what is making me feel good, without having drank a drop in liquid form, yet. This coffee is good because it is direct trade. Inherently this is better for everyone because it's a sign of a better product, albeit more costly as of current day. The scent of this coffee is exquisite, but the taste is a bit weak. One needs to add much more coffee to get the expected flavor notes. Part of me wonders if that is because it is ground already and not whole beans. At this price point, having to use more coffee to achieve flavor is not a good value to the consumer. If this coffee is available in whole beans, I'd definitely give it a try. I like what it stands for and the flavor was good when we figured out the amount needed.

I would love a bag of this in whole bean. I used these beans in my espresso machine and it felt much weaker than when I grind fresh beans for espresso but it smelled awesome and was fine for drinking. I also tried using this pre-ground coffee for normal brewing coffee pot. It again smelled really awesome but was just not as strong. I definitely love the blend and just wish it came whole bean. You can definitely smell the flavor notes as well with the apple, cinnamon, and almond. It reminds me of apple cinnamon oatmeal. The branding is also very cute. I cut out nice looking brands of coffee bags when I'm done and use them for crafts. Glad I got to try this blend!

This coffee is really fragrant and smells amazing. I really loved the taste too. It was strong and bold and I really liked that. If you prefer a lighter roast then you probably won't enjoy this but if you like dark, strong coffee then this is for you.

Tastes alright to me. Not my favorite flavor, but I can see other people liking this type of coffee. I would say it has a little bit of a sour note, but I'm not sure that's the best description of it.

This is a pretty light roast on the scale of coffees I have had before. Nothing wrong with a decent light roast but this one is ground pretty evenly. For the most part it has pretty coarse grands, but than it has large clumps of lighter ultra fine grains of coffee. The taste was in the range of caramel with some dried fruit notes. Overall its an ok roast, though its not something I think I would recommend.

This has the flavor of a darker coffee, but with more acidity; which makes it the perfect medium roast. Dark roasts are generally lower in acidity, whereas light roasts are higher. That's why I usually don't like lighter roasts. However, the flavor is delicious. You're supposed to use 2 tbsp per 4-5 oz of water, at least that's the standard. My bf likes it with more water and if you prefer it that way it does taste more mild with almost a hint of sweetness and chocolate on the back notes. However, I like it darker and stronger so I used about 6oz of water which gave me the darker notes, while still tasting the acidity. It's direct trade, so it is a bit more expensive, but that means the farmers and workers are getting more money instead of going through needless middlemen.
