Previous to finding this solution, I was using a high quality (cost almost the same as this B&H) receiver on my truck, and obviously it prevented me from using the mutli-gate on the truck as it would damage the tailgate. As I saw someone else write that it is much less expensive to get this special receiver for the multi-gate than to have to repair the tailgate because it hit the receiver or ball, I ordered the B&H that is made for the Chevy/GMC Pickup trucks with the special tailgate. Upon receiving the B&H MultiPro and removing the one I had with the B&H, not only does it work perfectly with the multi-gate tailgate on the truck, but the fit and finish is exceptional and so much better on the B&H than any other receiver I've owned.     • Don’t make the same mistake I did

Ok so I did a lot of research because there are so many models offered that I wanted to be sure to get the right one for me. I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 w/MultiPro tailgate. I arrived home late at night to find that my package had arrived. I was too excited to wait until daylight to put it on the truck. The quality is extremely impressive. I put it on and in the extreme darkness of night had thought I had it in all the way. Was bummed to find out that my tailgate hit it. Gave it some time to think it over and then figured out that this receive actually is hollowed out on the back side and is meant to push all the way in so that it recesses into it. Then it worked exactly as expected. I felt like a fool. Don’t be like me. Be sure to shove it all the way to where it can’t go in any more. Very happy with my purchase! ... show more

Works great for my GMC with the new split type tailgate. Has plenty of clearance if you remember to turn the hitch around after use. It’s spendy but I’m sure it costs less than a new tailgate! I cant lie i was skeptical to how good this would work on my trucks tail gate but it literally give you like half a inch and looks like its going to hit but I've jumped on the step out and it still hasn't touched or scraped it. I will also say i did a bunch of research into hitches and was really liking bullet proof hitches because of how heavy duty they are but after more research and comparing this to my buddies bullet proof hitch id say this thing is just as strong without all the bulkiness of the hitch. All in all super easy to use compared to other hitches the ball changing being so fast is amazing now that im working with different trailers this has been amazing and cuts my time down in loading up if your unsure i recommend this over any of the other super bulky ones unless you need it for the weight advantage but for this price it is amazing construction and super heavy duty with a nice sleek look to it. ... show more

I pull a lot of trailers and already had the standard B & W two ball hitch. I was very pleased with how easy it worked and the quality of that hitch. I recently purchased a 2024 GMC 2500 pickup with the multipro tailgate. Not sure what bonehead engineers designed this tailgate but they obviously never pull trailers! If you opened the step portion of the multipro it would land on your hitch if it was in the receiver. I, like most people who pull trailers frequently, do not remove the hitch after each use. Was glad to run across this slanted style B & W. Now I can use the tailgate and step without fear of denting it. Guarantee this hitch is cheaper than what a body shop would charge to repair the dented tailgate. Con - I wished they made this with a smaller drop, as the 6" hangs pretty low and may hang up if we ever get in the wrong spot. ... show more

This is my second hitch and it’s a great product. This version for the GMC tailgate is a must for that truck. My only problem with this is that it’s is very long. My truck is not lifted, stock 2500HD, so it hangs rather low. I contacted the manufacturer and they do not make a shorter version of this hitch, yet anyway. So this is the only option currently. It’s not a problem for normal driving, but I would remove the hitch if driving off-road, it will drag for sure. Otherwise, great product, strong and sturdy. I switch between 2 ball sizes frequently, and this is so simple and convenient. Highly recommended, just beware GMC owners who purchase this version. ... show more
