I can fully use the tailgate with the hitch in and dont have to flip the ball down or behind to make clearance with my particular setup. It will hit with a trailer connected of course but, when just the hitch is in, it doesn't. That was a big selling point because I tow enough that pulling the hitch in and out or flipping it around would be a nightmare. Definitely worth the cost and B&W products are always great.

I pull a lot of trailers and already had the standard B & W two ball hitch. I was very pleased with how easy it worked and the quality of that hitch. I recently purchased a 2024 GMC 2500 pickup with the multipro tailgate. Not sure what bonehead engineers designed this tailgate but they obviously never pull trailers! If you opened the step portion of the multipro it would land on your hitch if it was in the receiver. I, like most people who pull trailers frequently, do not remove the hitch after each use. Was glad to run across this slanted style B & W. Now I can use the tailgate and step without fear of denting it. Guarantee this hitch is cheaper than what a body shop would charge to repair the dented tailgate. Con - I wished they made this with a smaller drop, as the 6" hangs pretty low and may hang up if we ever get in the wrong spot.

Previous to finding this solution, I was using a high quality (cost almost the same as this B&H) receiver on my truck, and obviously it prevented me from using the mutli-gate on the truck as it would damage the tailgate. As I saw someone else write that it is much less expensive to get this special receiver for the multi-gate than to have to repair the tailgate because it hit the receiver or ball, I ordered the B&H that is made for the Chevy/GMC Pickup trucks with the special tailgate. Upon receiving the B&H MultiPro and removing the one I had with the B&H, not only does it work perfectly with the multi-gate tailgate on the truck, but the fit and finish is exceptional and so much better on the B&H than any other receiver I've owned. Highly recommend getting a B&H Receiver for your trailering needs.

Nice accessory for the truck! You don’t have to worry about the tailgate hitting it, and you always ready for whatever trailer you need to tow. I like the way it stows away so you don’t hit yourself on it when you don’t need it.

My application: 2023 GMC 3500HD with MP tailgate Great hitch and great quality. One star deducted due to hitch hitting the trucks safety chain holder on the truck's hitch receiver. Hitch hits when attempting to raise the hitch to top hole (stow position) not allowing pin to slide through both holes; it will slide through right side hole but not through left side hole (the side where hitch contacts safety chain holders). Contacted B&W and the remedy is just lower hitch and use lower holes. I believe my hitch was made with a few thousandths of an inch off (as one side cIears and one side does not). I would like for it to stow in highest position, but it will not work. I believe the tolerances were off when the left side hitch plate was welded. I also thought that perhaps the 1500 trucks with MP tailgate and use this same hitch and not have an issue as maybe there safety chain holder are made of less thick steel material; but these hitches are designed for all fitment applications of the MP tailgate (1500/2500/3500). Anyone else have this issue on a 2500/3500 GM HD truck with MP tailgate? If your hitch pins slide through on top hole when using stow position, please post a few pics....perhaps I can contact B&W and show them my hitch may be off ever so slightly. Thanks!
