It is a good tool for some specific tasks, but it does not give very clean cuts. I have used for casing and quickly realized that it was not going to work for that. I have the 10 inch, and that one works great for fine cuts. This one might be good for building a deck/cutting 2x4s. It is a handy little saw and it is a Milwaukee, so it is good quality. I didn't expect it to be so beefy and as well built as a corded saw you'd have on a bench. Great saw. High output battery lasts a long time, the regular batteries not so much. Love how the light creates a shadow where the blade is to line up your cut.

    • Fence issues
Overall good saw. Convenience is great “what I bought it for” “hit and run jobs/punch out” but the fence pigeon toed inward and I’ve never dealt with that in 11 years and having owned 5 miter saws before. It has set screws that look to adjust this exact issue but they seem to be maxed out in either direction already and just want to strip out despite bit size or hand/power tool applicated. The fact that this saw has a track for the fence to move that way at all feels like a setup for failure and no other saw I have even has room for the fence to move that way period. Not a fan. Otherwise I feel Milwaukee is a superior tool brand. ... show more
