  • Great Tool
Handy and cordless.

  • Better than expected
I didn't expect it to be so beefy and as well built as a corded saw you'd have on a bench. Great saw. High output battery lasts a long time, the regular batteries not so much. Love how the light creates a shadow where the blade is to line up your cut.

  • Handy little fella
It is a good tool for some specific tasks, but it does not give very clean cuts. I have used for casing and quickly realized that it was not going to work for that. I have the 10 inch, and that one works great for fine cuts. This one might be good for building a deck/cutting 2x4s. It is a handy little saw and it is a Milwaukee, so it is good quality. Just before you buy it, understand that it has limited uses. ... show more

  • Excellent saw
I bought this saw from home depot and absolutely love it. Cuts everything with ease so far. Extremely happy with purchase.

  • Fence issues
Overall good saw. Convenience is great “what I bought it for” “hit and run jobs/punch out” but the fence pigeon toed inward and I’ve never dealt with that in 11 years and having owned 5 miter saws before. It has set screws that look to adjust this exact issue but they seem to be maxed out in either direction already and just want to strip out despite bit size or hand/power tool applicated. The fact that this saw has a track for the fence to move that way at all feels like a setup for failure and no other saw I have even has room for the fence to move that way period. Not a fan. Otherwise I feel Milwaukee is a superior tool brand. ... show more

  • Cuts 2x6
I started with an old battery I had, stalled it out on a 2x4. Changed to a fuel battery, no more issues with stalling. I like the saw, but: the dust collector is a non working afterthought that falls off continuously. It also collects very little of the saw dust produced. Its a minor issue to me, but if you work inside a house to do trim work you might not want dust all over. Talking trim work: I tried to make a 90 by doing a -45 and a +45, no way, always a degree off. Thats the ring that sets the degrees, can’t be changed. Then tried to get one side right. What a nightmare to adjust. Loosen the screws and bump the ring, try a cut, not correct of course, try again, again, again, …. The ring does not just shift left right, it also has a little slop in the bolt holes and allows fore aft movement changing the angle. I gave up after an hour, good enough, I can fill the remaining small gaps with paint. One more thing: the slide is ok, but it does have some flex. I have to make sure to push only straight, in line with the slide or the cut is slightly off if my unintended side pressure changes during the cut. The saw is good for most work around the house, not necessarily recommended for cabinet work or even high quality trim work. ... show more
