I have been a fan of Keurig since their original machine purchased two decades ago. The primary appeal is fresh and tasty coffee in under two minutes. Over the years they have added a number of features. The machines are much more reliable, quieter, and allow easy customization for strong brew. (which any real coffee drinker will need) Unfortunately the new SMART model does not add any value. Setup for WiFi and integration with the phone app is unreliable, and clearly it is an immature product. The new options get in the way of just making a good cup of coffee. You have to wait for BrewID to decode your pod. At least 1/3 of the time if fails to recognize the pod (official Keurig brands) and tells you to put one into the machine. If you open and close the lid, the five holes leak during brewing. My suggestion is to go with one of the less complex models. And this comes from a expert software developer who can tell a good design from a bad. Hardware: excellent; Software: unbelievably bad. I have returned the unit and will probably purchase the simpler K-Supreme model. Bottom line: Keurig was a great invention, and to the extent they focus on coffee rather than gimmickry, I'd be happy to upgrade my rating. Edit 11/7/2021 - I decided to give Keurig one more try. The Plus model, minus the SMART stuff, is working well. Operation is much simpler, no hassle with WIFI unreliability and no lag while the machine attempted to identify the K-Cup and set a custom brewing cycle. Hardly necessary, as the best options are (1) as hot as possible, 192 degrees; and (2) as strong as possible, 8 oz setting with quality cups. Their Barista Prima line is truly excellent. Using Illy pods gets you close to a high-end espresso maker, must be the new & refined five needle design. ... show more

Why does my coffee maker need to be on my wifi? I don’t know, because it sounds cool right? Except no it isn’t cool, not at all. Why does my “SMART” brewer need to connect and reconnect to my wifi to spit out a cup of joe? Why does BrewID stop working inexplicably three cups into the lifespan of my machine? Why does Keurig need to auto push possibly breaking updates to a coffee machine? I’m on my second machine now, after returning the first one which stopped working, and this one literally won’t even connect to my Keurig app. (The app itself is pretty slow too.) If you just want a cup of joe when you want it, it’d probably be best to keep it simple (stupid me) and buy any other machine than this. You shouldn’t need IT support to brew a cup of coffee. ... show more

I've owned a few Keurig models over the last 10 years or so and can say with certainty that this one makes a superior cup of coffee. The addition of the MultiStream technology, specifically, has been instrumental is providing a "bloom" which adds an incredible depth of flavor. The unit is very easy to set up, clean, operate, etc. and it looks lovely to boot. That being said, the K-Supreme Plus SMART model wants you to use the Keurig app. And it really means it. I initially received a unit sans the QR code on the back of the machine. Yes, you can operate it manually, but it will flash a reminder to connect to WiFi...continuously. No, there is no option to forgo this "feature." I ended up having to send it in for a replacement (which came promptly and without issue from Amazon). If you are considering this model, please be sure that you are committed to utilizing the app. The coffee maker is nearly useless without it. ... show more

This Keurig brews a fantastic and flavorful cup of coffee. Really nothing I can say that hasn't been said by others or covered in the description from the manufacturer. However, I will say that I've owned five different Keurig machines over the last ten or so years. This brews much more flavorful coffee than any other Keurig I've used. My last Keurig was the more recent Keurig Platinum and the brewing quality of that machine doesn't even come close to the K-Supreme. If you've had a Keurig in the past and valued it for its ease of use and convenience but weren't impressed with the brewing quality, then I highly recommend giving this machine I try. As a buyer of the original Keurig, I had high expectations for this new "smart" machine. Out of the box, it was difficult to set up on the app even for a fairly IT savey person. After about 5 attempts and doing nothing different, it finally connected. I like very hot coffee but even on the highest setting (max hot), the coffee is not as hot as the older models we have owned. I tired the smart brew to let the machine brew per the manufacturers recommended size and temperature but did not like either the temperature or the taste. I tired several custom settings trying to at least get a hot cup without success. Wish the machine had a clock to make the machine turn on and have the water ready to go when I woke up; however, I had the app turn the machine on at 5 a.m. but it turns itself off after 5 minutes. It doesn't take long for the water to heat up but this feature is useless for us. So back this one went with the hope that Keurig will improve this one. For some reason cannot connect to eero. I have read that it’s because of 5 GHz but even when we switch it to 2.4 GHz it does not connect. I was able to connected to another iPhone using the Wi-Fi capabilities but really disappointed this cannot connect through a mesh net work. Hopefully there will be a fix somehow. ... show more
