Description

CONTENTS: STORMIO: A rich & strong coffee blend. Intensity 8. Smooth, rich cereal notes are brought to the fore by Guatemalan washed Arabica, which are then blended with Nicaraguan beans to create a strong, distinct flavor. tormio is mainly comprised of dark and long roasted beans, which help to develop its intensity, both in terms of body as well as singular notes. A long prewetting and high temperature allow to express the spicy and woody notes of Stormio. ODACIO: A long bold & lively coffee blend. Intensity 7. An audacious blend of fine Arabicas from Nicaragua and Ethiopia, Odacio is a full-bodied coffee with cereal notes accented by a slight East African fruitiness. Adding milk softens the flavor, bringing dairy, sweet notes. Fusing the flavors of two different continents, this blend of fine Arabica beans from Central America and East Africa serve up contrasting, yet complementary tastes in Odacio. MELOZIO: A smooth & balanced coffee blend. Intensity 6. Fine quality Brazilian Bourbon and Central American Arabicas are lightly roasted to create a rounded coffee that is smooth and perfectly balanced. Adding milk opens up the softer, sweeter sides of the coffee, enhancing the biscuity notes. Central American Arabica coffee delivers balance and a harmonious character to Melozio, which is enhanced by the sweet, honey notes of fine Brazilian Bourbon coffee beans. Thanks to the split-roasting, the fine Brazilian Bourbon beans reveal flavors rich in sweet cereal notes, giving a sensuous, smooth texture. The soft character and balance is achieved through the second split of Central American Arabicas. The fast flow and high temperature ensure a roundness of flavor, which is typical in blending lightly roasted Bourbon and Central American Arabicas.

I'm a caffeine fiend and love a good espresso but don't always have the time to swing down to Starbucks (or wherever) to get one. These pods are great as a daily alternative. A regular shot of espresso is typically 1 fluid ounce (a doppio is two) and costs around $1.25 at Starbucks. These pods cost about $1.30 but each pod makes 7.8 ounces, almost a full cup. So at Starbucks you're paying $1.25 per ounce where here you are paying $0.16 per ounce and that's a big difference. The coffee comes out just as tasty as it does at the coffee shop with its signature creamy head. Granted, you might not want to drink the equivalent of about 8 shots of espresso, but if you are combining it with stuff to make it a latte or something (which I occasionally do) it's great. You can also buy pods that make a lesser amount. You do have to shell out the money for the actual Nespresso machine, but it certainly pays for itself over time compared to swinging through the coffee shop every day. You can return the pods to recycle them (I'm sort of a tree hugger) which is a bonus. Ever since I got a Nespresso machine, this has been my go-to flavor. You just pop it in and turn it on—very convenient. It has a nice overall balance, and the aroma blends well with milk. It feels a bit pricey, but compared to buying coffee outside every day, it actually saves money and time. The only thing I’m concerned about is the packaging—it’s a bit bulky, and I feel guilty throwing it away each time. I know there are reusable sticker options, but the process wasn’t very easy. Assortment of Nespresso vertuo pods for a 7.7 oz frothy cup. I like the larger amounts but it does not make an amount that I used to believe was a full cup of coffee (12 to 20 ounces). The frothy head makes up for it though.
