  • Exceptional Clarity and Smart Features
The ARC 700’s 4K front video is incredibly sharp, and the 2K rear footage is just as impressive. Built-in GPS and speed/red light alerts provide great peace of mind. The included hardwiring kit made parking mode setup a breeze. A premium, reliable dash cam system that’s worth every penny.

  • Needed for hit and runs
This day and age people drive crazy all over. This helps me not be so stressed worried about hit and runs. The quality this records is super clear and even st night. The set up is easy and can look in your phone for the footage.

  • Good Picture Quality, App and Storage Issues
Good picture quality, but the app is not user-friendly and frequently has issues. I’ve also had to reconfigure the memory card twice in the past few weeks, which raises concerns about the camera’s reliability.

  • ARC
Thinkware is the only brand that actually holds up to extreme desert heat. I’ve tried many brands and the longest they last are 2 years. I’ve had several Thinkware dashcams and they’ve all been OEM quality and reliability. I hope the ARC 700 will hold up to my expectations. I wish I could turn off the “have a safe drive” greeting but whatever, I’ll learn to live with it. ... show more

  • I do not FULLY recommend
For the price I paid for the dash cam and related accessories it does not meet expectations at all. Ok first the night mode I don't believe is 4K, I am unable to read the plate in front of me, it captures surroundings but still falls short. Again this is a $300 plus camera it SHOULD be better. Next the rear camera installation is a bit unclear, we all worry about if the picture would be upside down, maybe I was missing something but it took a while to figure it out. And the reason it took a while is because the app is great when it works but takes a long whileeeeeee to connect. To enable the red light/speed cam setting you need to do so in app. Lastly the formatting, this feature is, in my opinion, very very dumb, and i am being generous. I started formatting on the dash cam, 🤔 however as I sat there 3 minutes later I figure something must be wrong....nope it take insanely long for it to format. Long story short ended up frying my 256g samsung SD by trying to restart the device, which in itself is a pain. I use this camera in my mother's car as she just drives without interacting with the dash cam. This i think is good as you can just drive and not worry about it and know its working. ONLY thing I like is the accessory to connect it to the OBD making it easy!!! Installation, only reason i am giving it a four star is because of this. ... show more

  • Solid dual dash cam setup. No problems so far
It's not the cheapest, but the Arc 700 is a solid front/rear camera setup. Have had no issues with mine. This replaced another Thinkware dash cam that has also served me well, so I think this brand is good to go. Bear in mind that I don't drive much at night, though, so haven't extensively tested out the night vision. Overall very happy with it so far. ... show more

  • Must have for every vehicle on the road
I am very impressed with this setup. I have for the longest time owned a mediocre dash cam that had a screen of its own so it gave me a peace of mind that it was recording and that I can check live what was being recorded. I was kind of weary that this had to use a phone to view videos but decided to give it a try. Here are my impressions: 1. The clarity of the files is like night and day compared to my old 1080p dash cam. Although the included 64gb is kind of a joke when you are recording such high quality videos, that is easily solved now with a decent quality micro sd that is so cheap compared to even 5-8 years ago. so get one that is much larger size if you get this cam. 2. Having a rear view camera is a game changer since you are not locked into just the front or just the rear view. Both front and back can be recorded and should be recorded with this set up but again, get a larger size memory card. 3. The included cables are all long enough for a full size SUV so it should not be the limiting factor for sedans and trucks a like. 4. Although the app can be finicky like any app on a phone, it works well most of the time and it may be my equipment that is causing the issue so that is up to your phone and how you use it. 5. If you prefer not to use the 12v cigarette lighter plug, you have an option to tap directly into your power circuit via included cables. I prefer to use the 12v jack so I cannot attest to it but others on this review list have done it so I know it works. 6. If you are ok with handy things, running the cables into the trim and hiding it is easy to do. It is fairly straight forward installation so just take your time and you should be good to go in 1-2 hours max even with light electrical work. All in all, this is a great set up whether you are looking to catch something specifically or to generally guard your safety and have a witness onboard 24-7. I love it. ... show more
