    • Have to be creative to mount on a Zip-Dee awning

Zip-Dee awnings do NOT have a longitudinal slot to accommodate the t-shaped sliders that most awning sunshades use: Zip-Dee expects you to drill holes and install snaps along the awning roller to hold one of their shades - that probably would be a better idea, if you have one of their awnings. I attached evenly spaced plastic clamps along the edge of this shade, ran a strong cord through the middle of them, and then tied the ends of the cord to the awning arms. It allows me to slide the shade along the cord to accommodate different positions of the sun (our awning is quite a bit longer than this shade), but I’m not sure it’s a great idea to have that taut cord pulling the awning arms together. So far no issues. The fabric is a little inflexible at first but seems to be loosening up a bit, and it is not by any means opaque: we wanted to be able to see through it. If you want to completely block the sunlight try a different fabric. ... show more

I wasn’t expecting it to be so short, short height wise not length wise, no where near to be touching the ground. The tabs that slide into the awning are very long. We will need to cut them to get them to slide in. I guess it depends on your awning type. But it does provide shade and it’s a reasonable price. Would have been 5 stars, except that the bungee that came with it, is too short! Had to use 2 together to reach our pegs in the ground. Good quality and seems heavy duty. Just installed them, so not sure on how they hold up in the sun and weather, but I think they will be good for a long time to come. Edit after 2 months: we purchased 3 of these for our 3 awnings. On out front/main awning, 2 of the clips that secure it into the awning track broke the 1st month. Today, we put out our rear awning and EVERY SINGLE CLIP broke, rendering this useless. I would love to know if anyone else is having this issue. Reduced to 2 stars because these just have my lasted. ... show more
