I looked through a lot of scanners. Most $25 ones are good for engines, but won't read ABS/SRS codes. This one was able to pick up the SRS codes in my 08 Corolla. You may have to set the region of your vehicle to get it working. Considering profession scanners can go above $1000, a $60 scanner that can read most codes is a banger of a deal for regular customer trying to diagnose/fix their car's faults. ... show more

I had asked the car shop the does my oil changed to clear the codes, but they didn't. I had an older scanner that worked with my phone, but it wouldn't work with the Prius ... show more

This is a great little scanner. Plug it into the OBDii port on your compliant car , start up the car, choose DIAGNOSTICS, and this will tell you what fault codes if any, you have. It also can give you live data while you drive but the meanings of what it tells you are stored in the HELP section which cannot be downloaded for use offline.
