  • Premium Price to Quality
Style: Gold Size: 850W
Running an i7-12700KF and RTX 4070 Super with the Thermaltake GF1 850W—no issues at all. Super stable under load, dead silent most of the time, and the fully modular design made cable management easy. Build quality is solid. Great PSU for the price—definitely recommend for mid to high-end builds, I personally don't care about looks as psu is not visible in my case, PSU handles everything easily , No issues, It's one of the A tier psus, One of the best bangs for the buck. ... show more

  • Solid choice for your needs!
Style: Gold Size: 850W
I recently upgraded to the Thermaltake GF1 1050W fully modular power supply, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Right out of the box, the build quality of the cables is impressive; they feel durable and sturdy, which gives me confidence in their performance. The cable length is also excellent, allowing for a clean and tidy setup in my case without any awkward bends. Installation was a breeze. The fully modular design meant I only had to connect the cables I needed, which simplified the process significantly. Everything fit perfectly, and I appreciated how easy it was to route the cables for optimal airflow. While the aesthetics of the power supply aren't particularly eye-catching, this isn't a deal-breaker for me. In my application, performance is key, and the GF1 delivers that in spades. It runs quietly and efficiently, providing stable power for all my components. Overall, I highly recommend the Thermaltake GF1 1050W for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality power supply that excels in functionality over flashy looks. Five stars all the way! ... show more

  • Good performance... scary coil whine? Might need RMA
Style: Gold Size: 850W
First impressions were good. The third-party reviews compelled me to buy this psu for the good value. Performance so far has been good, and the provided cabling is sufficient for my multi-gpu server. The cables aren't going tk win any beauty contests, but not terrible and highly functional. However... even under no load (even without any gpu plugged in, igpu only) it periodically makes very concerning coil whine. It starts as a low raspy grumble and works its way up to a VERY loud whine and then suddenly stops in an instant, as if related to a inductor charge and discharge. But why would the inductor cycle like this under no load? And where is the sudden discharge going? Of the dozens of psu I have used between 2001 and present, this is the first time I've ever observed such a sound coming from psu. It is loud enough to hear in the next room over. It doesn't seem to be related to any fan activity. I don't think this is normal... might need to RMA because something has got to be out of spec. ... show more

  • Great PSU
Style: Gold Size: 600W
First thing I'll mention is that I received a used/returned unit, which was very obvious. Everything was there and other than a label that was slightly peeling, it was a fully functioning working unit. I can't blame manufacturers for reselling all the stuff that's RMA'd due to inexperienced computer builders. I've used at least 3 of these in recent builds and all continue to work well after 9+ months. Only complaint is that some motherboards have two 12V EPS connectors (CPU) and this PSU only has one. In practice it makes no difference because most motherboard/CPU combos don't need the second connector, but it would be nice to have the second one installed. I love the sleeved multi-colored & ketchup/mustard wiring, it makes diagnosing PCs so much easier. Nothing worse than diagnosing all black wiring and having to look up connector pinouts to see which one is which. I use these PSUs for customers, and I don't like modular wiring because they might need to add something in the future, which in that case you'd have to leave the extra wires connected anyways for that purpose. I used to buy another brand for these types of builds (obviously these aren't high end gaming systems) that is no longer available, but this has been a great alternative for the price and has a gold efficiency rating. Zero complaints so far, and very quiet while in use. ... show more

  • Excellent Power Supply with Great Features and Quiet Operation
Style: Gold Size: 850W
I recently purchased the Thermaltake GF1 (2024) 850W power supply, and I'm extremely satisfied with its performance. The 80 PLUS Gold certification ensures high energy efficiency, which is perfect for my high-end gaming setup. The fully modular design makes cable management a breeze, and the low-profile flat cables help keep my build neat and tidy. One of the standout features is the Smart Zero Fan technology, which minimizes noise by keeping the fan off until the power supply reaches a certain load. This makes for a very quiet operation, which is a huge plus for me. The build quality feels solid, and the industrial-grade protections (OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OTP) give me peace of mind regarding the safety of my components. The compact size also fits well in my mid-tower case without any issues. Overall, this power supply delivers excellent performance, efficient cooling, and quiet operation. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient power supply for their PC build. ... show more
