It cooled my newly built gaming pc very well, I even have some to use on later upgrades. The plastic shields that are supposed to be used to protect other parts of the cpu when applying thermal paste didn't fit my cpu, because I have an older model, and the dimensions for the plastic pieces are made for newer cpu models. That was the only issue I had, but the application process was straightforward, and I was careful enough to not get it on anything but the cpu anyway, so all was good.
