I bought a Magic Link to pair with my phone on my long commute, and it has made the drive so much better. Music, Navigation, and other essential apps work really well with it. The connection has also been more reliable than what I’ve experienced with some manufacturer/built in wireless systems. It faults out occasionally, but it is very easy to unplug and reconnect when able and it is safe to do so.

I use this on my 2020 Ram 1500. This device works well enough. It’s a little glitchy but I always seem to be able to overcome the glitches. Also, this device causes a slight lag in the audio. It’s not normally noticeable during phone calls, but it’s very noticeable when watching videos on your phone because the audio doesn’t sync perfectly with the video. Overall, I’m glad I have it because it’s very convenient to be cordless all the time. But it’s not perfect.

When it works it's awesome and does exactly what'd you'd hope. The problem is it only automatically connects to the car or our phones about a third of the time. Super frustrating for around the town driving and short trips where you are turning the car off and on. Seemingly the only way to fix it is to unplug it and plug it back in, and if I have to do that all the time, why would I not just be plugging in my phone like I was before for wired carplay? Really disappointing. Also it doesn't appear that there's a way to switch between phones connected when you have multiple users in the car, so whoever's phone it connects to first is the phone you're using that ride

Have a vehicle with Ford Sync. I LOVE having the ability to plug in my IPhone to use my WAZE navigation app. But the Lightning Port started to fail, stopped connecting. The Magic Wireless Adapter is a game changer. Connected easily following the on screen instructions. Whatever App worked via wired connection works flawlessly with this device. Great value for the money. Small and compact enough to store in your vehicle.

I used this for several months. It works just okay. It's extremely slow to connect to my iPhone; sometimes I have to unplug and replug it to get it to work, which completely defeats the purpose of wireless CarPlay. I also noticed that when watching a video on my phone and it's connected to CarPlay, there is a significant delay in the audio from the video. I went back to just using a cable and plugging in the phone...the delay to connect was too annoying.

The Magic LInk is a welcome addition to my driving experience. I plugged it in. It went into its "seek" function. found my phone, paired with it, and Voila'. Immediate connectivity to my phone via CarPlay!! All the apps and accessibility I formerly would need to plug in a connecting cable to achieve right at my fingertips. Anymore, I just slide into my car and all my connections are there on the car's screen. Easy Peasy! I keep mine connected via the USB port of the car's system. It is always ready. I would buy another and would recommend it to anyone with the CarPlay accessibility in their vehicle. (This just MAY become my Christmas gift for multiple family members.)

This works as advertised, except for “connects in 5 seconds”. It actually takes about 15 seconds before I can use CarPlay. I suspect that it takes 5 seconds for the Magic Link to connect to the car, but then takes another 5-10 seconds for the phone to connect to the Magic Link. Not a big deal, it takes almost that long with a wired connection. The connection is flawless, works every time and stays connected. Itis small and very unobtrusive, you wouldn’t even know it was there! Before I had the Magic Link, I would frequently leave my phone in the car if I used CarPlay. Now, the phone stays in my pocket. I love it!

Maybe it's a shortcoming of the head units I've used this on, but I see a delay in response to keypresses in three different vehicles. One was a friend's car with a 5-year-old Sony double-DIN head unit, I see the delay in mine with an Alpine iLX-W650, and I also see a slight delay in our 2020 Highlander with JBL system and there's a similar delay there, so I assume it's the product, not the head unit? I see the least delay in the Highlander, but even still, it ranges from one second delay in the Highlander to 2 seconds on the Sony head unit, and somewhere in between for the Alpine. Outside of that, though, this is an awesome product. Setup was absurdly easy. Support and documentation is readily available, but it worked well enough I didn't need either. After a couple months use and hundreds of trips, I've only had two instances where something weird happened and the connection didn't seem to work exactly as expected. In both cases, simply unplugging the unit and plugging it back resulted in reconnection as I'd expect. This has really been a gamechanger product for me. I'm sad Alpine doesn't seem to care about adding wireless CarPlay to their iLX-W650 and iLX-W670 head units, not to mention their utter failure to adapt their RUX-H02 "volume & bass knob" to these two awesome head units, but this unit has, for the most part, helped alleviate the pain of relying on a wire. This product, paired with Belkin's wireless charging unit in my car (adapted with a new ball pivot) has really changed my driving experience to a "slap the phone on the charger and go" affair. I cannot recommend it enough.
