I will admit that I started off with low expectations for The Beard Club Men's Body Wash. This is a 16-ounce bottle of body wash described as "heavy duty shower gel for men." Indeed, there's no doubt this is aiming for the younger and hipper crowd, however, anyone who prefers a stronger shower gel that also exfoliates should probably look this way. My first modest turn-off here was that the cap was somewhat difficult to open. There's a seal over the shower gel that requires you to remove the cap, peel back the seal, and then replace the cap. The cap flips open to dispense the shower gel, though it took me a bit of an effort to get the cap to flip open. I'm also somewhat bothered when a product uses general terminology in its ingredients. For example, here one of the ingredients listed is "fragrance." No duh. The good news, however, is that after I worked my way through the quirks, this actually was a solid body wash. Pumice is one of the key ingredients driving the exfoliation. It feels pretty amazing. While it doesn't lather up quite as much as I expected, I was pleasantly surprised that it also has not been rough on my somewhat sensitive skin. This really immerses in my skin nicely and doesn't linger too much. I find the scent pleasant and not overwhelming at all. The cleanser exfoliates really well - I'd say exfoliation is really the major selling point here. It really, really works nicely. This body wash is a fairly modest value. It's clearly aiming for a more premium experience, though it's not quite a luxury experience. So, I'm not sure value is really the goal. Overall, I have no problem giving this a 4-star rating. It falls short of 5-stars for me, however, it's definitely a body wash I'm enjoying using and for those who want or need a stronger body wash that really gets out the grime this should definitely do the trick. ... show more

Shampoo alone dries out my beard and the leave in conditioner is too much. A little pricey, smells good though. In a pinch it’s better than nothing. But I’ll not buy it again.
