  • The Power Of Feedback | The Bevel Trimmer is a true winner
Style: Silver Trimmer
Tristan and his team have indeed created something special. The Bevel Trimmer is the epitome of excellent product design. The due diligence that the Bevel team has put into this product is astounding. Design: Most trimmers on the market are unreliable, made out of cheap plastic, and get hot quickly. The Bevel Trimmer's ingenious design is a breath of fresh air. The aluminum grip keeps the grip cool and allows you to cut more efficiently. The trimmer also has no loss of power when used wirelessly. The battery life is also fantastic. I have not charged the trimmers in months. Blade Sharpness: When the Bevel Trimmer first came out, I was genuinely excited that a product that is such an essential product in the African-American community was being made for us, by us. When I saw a few initial reviews of the Bevel Trimmer, I read the discouraging news that trimmers were not sharp enough (hitting). I am happy to say that last year (2017), this problem has been fixed with updated blades from Bevel (V2). I purchased the Bevel Trimmer last Fall for my Father, a long time user of Andis & Wahl, and he loved it. He said it was the sharpest blade he has used, which says a lot. I received the Bevel Trimmer as a gift for the holidays, and I have had the same experience. Tristan and his team have listened to customer feedback and improved on the Bevel Trimmer. Competition: The main competitor for the Bevel Trimmer is the Andis T-Outliner, probably the most common trimmer in barbershops in the community. I have used this trimmer before, and it often gets misaligned and heats up pretty quickly. This is why most Professional Barbers have to modify the Andis T-Outliner to fix those issues. With the Bevel Trimmer, these problems simply do not exist. The Bevel Trimmer features a quick-release Blade that can be adjusted in seconds. It also includes a "Zero-Gap" feature that adjusts the sharpness of the blade with a turn of a dial. This is a revolutionary new design, and I could just imagine the possibilities of the quick release system. (More Below) Value: At about $200, many would say that this is an overpriced product and I would have to disagree. This is a premium product designed for long-term use. The Bevel trimmer is an evolving product that is updated every quarter with improvements. With the innovative quick release system, the Bevel Team will be launching a T-Liner blade that could be interchanged with the current blade that ships with the Bevel Trimmer. The Bevel Trimmer's foundation has provided the company with a myriad of options in the future. Conclusion: The Bevel team has knocked it out the park with the Bevel Trimmer. I cannot wait to see what they release in the upcoming months. The Bevel Trimmer represents the power of listening to customer feedback and not becoming complacent. ... show more

  • Bevel trimmers will have your beard straight and lined up!
Style: Black Trimmer
I would highly recommend the Bevel trimmer! With its easy adjustments I was able to get a nice, tight line up! I’m definitely impressed!

  • Just gonna keep it simple!
Style: Silver Trimmer
I don’t usually like giving positive reviews. I know that sounds weird, but in our capitalistic society, most companies who read their positive reviews tend to raise their prices because of it. However, all I will say is that these clippers do deserve five stars.

  • Expensive but I don't know another matching that performs this well.
Style: Silver Trimmer
I'm a black guy in his mid 30s that's been touching up his own hair since 14 years old. Now I have a baldie, but was able to hook up my own Caesars and shape my beard...so you know what type of user I am. This clipper has nice power for a cordless; it matches up well against plug-in clippers. It's easy to use and to adjust. It's kind of a jack of most trades and a master of none. Fading with this isn't ideal, but it can do a respectable job. Line-ups aren't as hard-hitting as the Andis T-outliner, but still pretty nice. This has impressive power and low maintenance blades so that I can shave my entire head without having to pause too much to clean the blade nor do I have to do tons of passes across my scalp to get it clean. However to get the full performance out of it, I had to get the Bevel T-blade (sold separately). The blade it comes with is okay, but it doesn't clean my face and head the way I want. With the T-blade, I'm now considering getting rid of my old trusty Andis T-outliner. Also this is a great travel shaver. Sometimes the different voltage overseas makes my clippers operate weird (am I the only one?). But since this doesn't plug into the wall that is not at all an issue. Also, I like to shave with a safety razor and a barber blade (to give the razor finish to the lines on my beard), but those can't go on my carry-on. When traveling, the Bevel gives me a nice shave and lineup. One big catch is the price. These are expensive. I thought paying $50-60 for Andis was outrageous. But these cost a lot. Technically I don't think a shaver like this is worth $200. BUT I have yet to find ONE machine that can do the things this does. So I paid the money 🤷🏾♂️. I did have to get a warranty replacement once because my stock blade wouldn't stay in zero gap. Meaning that I'd set it to zero, but then when I turn the clippers on, it'd start increasing the gap, meaning that I couldn't get my head bald and I couldn't do my line. Conclusion : you want a one stop shop for maintaining your beard, line-ups, baldies get this if you have the money. And I HIGHLY recommend buying the T-blade too (I'd recommend getting the blade directly from Bevel to avoid fakes). ... show more

  • Great trimmer
Style: Black Trimmer
So far this trimmer has worked flawlessly. I must add that a person would need to change the blade with a t-blade for maximum performance.

  • The Only Trimmers you'll ever need.
Style: Silver Trimmer
These trimmers are exceptional! I have been using them for years, and they truly are premium quality. They don't pull hair or leave any scarring. In the past, I used Andis clippers and dreaded the process of zero gapping for sharper lines. However, these trimmers have a zero gap wheel mechanism that allows me to achieve a perfect zero gap in seconds! The battery life is incredible—Apple should take note! I use these trimmers almost every other day and only charge them every couple of months. Seriously, the battery life is unreal. I'm not a professional barber; I mostly cut my own hair and, occasionally, my family and friends' hair. I imagine the battery life would vary with professional use. I own the regular blade that comes with these trimmers, as well as the T-blade. It's easy to switch between the two, but I prefer the T-blade and rarely use the default one. ... show more

  • From 5 Stars to 1
Style: Silver Trimmer
Updated: 06/26/17- I've owned the trimmers since October 2016; Although I noticed there was not a significant difference in performance from a traditional edger and trimmer, I gave the product 5 stars. I loved the fact that you could go from wired to wireless, adjusting the blade was a seamless experience, and the trimmer was aesthetically heads and shoulders above the competition. I think or thought that merited 5 stars. Fast forward to June of 2017 and after weekly use the bevel trimmer stopped cutting hair. I couldn't line up nor could I use it it to trim hair. I'm NOT a professional so the wear and tear is/was minimal. I contacted supported to request a RMA and after several pics sent via email and a couple videos; the rep decided I needed a new blade. It was sent in the mail overnight and although it didn't completely remedy the problem, I was able to use the trimmers again until recently. The trimmer is no longer working (again) and it makes a high frequency noise, the rep no longer responds to my emails. My suggestion to anyone in the market for the trimmer is to save your money and look elsewhere. I've owned traditional trimmers for 7-10 years(again they are only for personal use so mileage varies) and I've come to grip with the fact that I wasted 200 bucks. First off, I will say that I've done my due diligence in reading ALL the Amazon reviews and watching ALL the Youtube which led me to purchase the very expensive trimmers. I plan to use them to bald my head and groom and trim my beard/goattee. Let me say I absolutely love the trimmers so far. However ,I was a little frustrated with the company because, I pre-ordered the trimmers only to be told that they would not be delivered until December; only to find them on Amazon! It was kind of confusing as a consumer but I ordered them on Amazon and all is well. Upon receiving them I charged them after un-boxing process felt more like I was about to open an iphone (not a bad thing). The clippers performed well and adjusting them will be a breeze. The best feature for me is the ability to use them wirelessly. So far so good. ... show more

  • No skin irritation. Perfect shaving solution.
Style: Silver Trimmer
Deserves 5 stars. Excellent clipper. I finally found a trimmer for my face that won't create skin irritation -- including bumps. Thank goodness. Thanks bevel. Fully worth $200. Replaces my Andis t outliner for shaving. I just wish I purchased this earlier! Also, I did not need to adjust it. Worked great for me out the box. Didn't zero gap. Also, for those still battling razor bumps, using this shaver wasn't the only thing that fixed my issue. I believe it was my routine for my sensitive skin: 1. Use this trimmer for shaving face (it was too harsh for my neck so I use to outliner for that) 2. Immediately use an alum bloc. Rub that on face and neck. Let it sit for ~2m. Then rinse with cool water. Pat dry. 3. Apply bc skin tight to face and neck. Let it sit for ~2m 4. Apply AHAVA soothing after shave cream Doing the steps above have completely erased all my troubles of razor bumps and burns. A huge help to that was learning my skin and finding the right razor for my skin (which is the bevel trimmer). I never tried the double edge razor from Bevel because I've tried a DE razor before and it wasn't pretty. I hope the above helps someone! I'm certainly happy with my purchase. ... show more
