  • Perfect cordless trimmer to bald my head.
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
As someone who started shaving over 20 years ago, I’ve tried a variety of razors and trimmers to keep myself fresh and clean. I started with a Mach 3 razor at age 17 before going to the military academy, but eventually moved to double-edge safety razors in 2014 to combat ingrown hairs and razor bumps. After leaving the military and growing a beard, I tried everything to shave my head as I started losing my hair around age 28 -- razors, DE safety razors, foil trimmers, you name it. Eventually, because my scalp is also super sensitive, I decided to just use the tried and true Andis T-Outliner that every barber uses to give you that bald cut when razors will give you the volcanic eruption of razor bumps on your head. I've been through maybe three different sets of corded T-Outliners, and eventually stumbled upon these when looking for something without a cord so that I could get that 360 bald cut done quickly before work in the morning without having to do the tango with a cord. These Andis GTX EXO outliners are GREAT! Same quality, bald, low cut as my corded trimmers without the hassle of a cord, and they hold a good enough charge to be able to throw them in my suitcase for a weekend trip so I can stay looking my best while away from home. I also like that they already come from the factory with the "skeleton" cut, reducing vibration and allowing freedom of movement of the teeth of the blades, getting a lower, smoother cut without the need to zero gap the blades. Definitely give these a try - I think you'll like them for all uses: shape ups and line work, beard trimming, and for my men out there who are trying to keep a good baldie without tearing your head up with a traditional razor, this is the ticket. ... show more

  • Not noisy
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
This shaver/ trimmer gave my husband a good shave when it worked but it didn’t last long. In under a year it just stopped work. He bought the upgrade and it’s very noisy and doesn’t work as great as the older version.

  • Unreliable
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
I used these trimmers to cut my hair once per week. I am essentially bald- I trim as short as possible without shaving and what hair I do have is fine/thin. I got tired of the cord on my Oster fast feed and went for this model. It cut my hair for about 1 second before it quit working. It just snags and won't actually cut. I started the return process with the seller, but after watching a YouTube video I replaced the driver assembly, made an adjustment to the metal prongs and it started working. It actually worked quite well, it cuts your hair extremely short without being zero gapped. It is adequately powerful and you don't have to go over the same spots over and over. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts because I used it for less than an hour before it quit cutting again. I went back to the original drive assembly, cleaned everything off, oiled it (which I also do after every use), disassembled and reassembled it repeatedly. The blades move but they don't cut. All I can say is that to call these trimmers commercial grade is a joke. Less than an hour use against very short, thin hair (maybe 9-10 haircuts?) and it's completely unusable. Since I didn't return it to the seller initially, I contacted Andis. I have to pay to ship it to them for a warranty repair, and wait for it to come back. It's a good thing that in the meantime I can continue to use the Oster clippers that I had wanted to replace after 5 years of weekly use. They worked great when they worked. But they don't hold up for long. If you've got money to blow and you want to use these for yourself at home, go for it. I cannot recommend professionals relying on it to make a living though. ... show more

  • Tried and true
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
I’ve used Andis for the last 25 years and they have never failed me. I purchased these because my corded trimmers were getting old and figured I’d go cordless. I tried another brand and returned them within weeks. So for my brothers with course hair, these trimmers are the truth. Straight out the box they are sharp and impressive. I shaved my head Sunday night and I didn’t need to use them again until Friday. My beard looks great and I have ZERO complaints. Fellas…or ladies, you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

  • Zero resistance or hair pulling.
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
I use this to trim my face because I don't like how my skin cells and acts after shaving. It's a way closer trim than any other facial trimmers I've used. It takes only about 3 minutes to trim with this considering I don't have to worry about any hair pulling. It cuts through my very course facial hair like butter. If you use it for any hair lining it also queries great for that. Like if you want to trim your sideburns just press the blade perpendicular to your skin and swipe down and it will cut everything cleanly. No need to go over anything twice. ... show more

  • Excellent Trimmers Made Better
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
I loved my old grey wired Andis T-Outliners. They lasted over 10 years and are still running today. The only reason I upgraded to these was because I travel internationally more and 240V outlets will turn the old trimmers into a lawn mower. Not great for the face. So I went with these and couldn't be happier. I only use them as personal trimmers, but I don't need anything else. Get a set of guards for decent beard shaping, and you've got a great all-rounder. It also looks great with a neat charge dock, so it doesn't feel like a thing I should hide in the bathroom when guests come over. ... show more

  • Works Great; First Order Box Already Opened
Style: New GTX-EXO Trimmer
UPDATED REVIEW I received a replacement and the box was truly sealed. Zero gap seems to be proper and the device is working great. If this device fails, I’ll update the review but I have high hopes it’ll work for decades. ORIGINAL REVIEW Replacement ordered but I’m frustrated that my box, like many others, was already opened and the product used. This is not OK for something that costs this much. ... show more
