I was excited to order this set because the color is so cute and unique. I was happy to find when this arrived that the printed design on the waterer and feeder is really crisp and clear just like the photos - I have had experiences where it looked awful, not this set! The plastic is a little bit on the cheaper side so it does flex, it doesn’t like to be screwed down too tightly, and it shows some stress discoloration in areas where it has experienced more strain. There were enough cups and nipples to do the entire waterer with one or the other, but I chose to use mostly nipples so my flock can transition to them. I do wish there were less holes in the waterer - there are simply too many and it’s not necessary. The feeder was decently easy to set up although the plastic did not like to be over tightened so the gaskets couldn’t get quite as tight as I would like. I will update my review if I have any issues with water leaks or feeder ports. The bonus items are cute but definitely lower quality - the sign print is a bit fuzzy, the xylophone is very thin and won’t hold up to outdoor use but is great for chicks or bantams. The leg bands are pretty thick for the kind of bird they would fit on, and not large enough to fit a big Brahma which the thickness would be more appropriate for. Overall this set is a good value *if* it holds up to at least a full spring to fall rotation so I will update my review with my experiences over this year.

I have a flock of about 35 chickens and am always in need of new feeders and waterers to keep them satiated. I decided to give this set a try and was satisfied for the most part. I found the containers to be a bit on the thin side as the walls had a bit of flex in them. The food container was a bit challenging to put together because the ports on each side were made from plastic that was a bit too thin. The feeding port is made of two parts, one that is on the inside of the bin and it goes through the hole to the outside. Then there is a locking piece that is supposed to tighten down and hold the port in place. Unfortunately, this piece was a bit oversized and the threads a bit too thin. I was unable to get any of them to actually tighten and instead the threads just slipped right off. I had to resolve this issue by using CA glue and affixing them permanently. This worked just fine, but was a step I was not expecting to have to take. The water container comes with both valved cups and nipples with a small water catch underneath them. I really appreciate that this came with sets of both. I first tried to install the nipples with water catcher, but was unable to install any of them due to the wingnut that goes on the inside being made of too thin of plastic to tightly grasp the threads of the nipple. I then switched over to the valved cups, and although they are quite thin, they worked fine. I do question the durability of these because some of my hens are heavy and not so gentle. I could foresee one of them stepping on one, and the thin plastic simply snapping off. Where this kit stands out, are the additional gifts that came with them. I really appreciate that it came with a couple of toys, and a nifty coop sign. I also appreciate that extra parts were included. Overall, the design is quite nice and the unit does do the job it is intended for, but durability may be an issue. My opinion is that this is a decent value for the money, because it came with some extras that push it to that level.

I’ve been using this product in my coop, and it has quickly become one of the most convenient and low‑maintenance feeding and watering setups I’ve added to my flock.
